   AROMA 2/10   APPEARANCE 4/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 9/20

Looks good, light golden with smooth head. Not much aroma to speak of. Pretty generic European lager, but perhaps a little more generous with the hops than many of its mainstream competitors making it preferable to most of them. Refreshing enough but pretty standard fare.

No head at all. A lot of lace. Smells like something cheap (not beer necessarily) and tastes like a humid basement. I had this beer with my wife to be on our important night. Therefore, the score is slightly higher.

Aroma leggero, davvero, grano fresco, pop corn, malto, un filo d'erba verde. Giallo chiaro, limpida, bella schiuma bianca e compatta.

Virtually indistinguishable from its pale brethren. A little sweeter than average and very weak bodied. Effervescent.

Stella Artois...the answer to the question that nobody asked.
Every time I've ever had Stella it's been mediocre to bad. My friends in London call Stella Artois " Wife Beater ".

Why is that? Well, that comes mostly from its clientele, who have a reputation for binge drinking and violence. Yup, that sure sounds like the crowd that can enjoy a finely crafted, high-end beer, which makes its positioning as a boutique luxury beer in the US all the more laughable.

My favorite factoid whenever somebody orders a Stella Artois: " Congratulations. You've picked the worst beer ever. "

As they say: "Stella Artois Is A Disgrace To Belgium" ...

And as if that weren't enough, it also debases centuries of Belgian beer culture. Belgium is home to some of the world's very most distinguished breweries, including Chimay, Duvel, Cantillon, Rochefort, and Dupont...and Westvleteren, Achel, Orval and Maredsous. The abbeys of Orval and Maredsous are just beautiful.

Not the best thing, but I’ve definitely had worse. It’s a pretty light beer. Good if you’re just eating a sandwich or pasta at home on a chill night at home. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pours pale yellow with white head. Aroma is malty, light grains, light hoppy - notes of citrus. Rather rough, grains, slight caramel.

AWISLguy (3429) - Wisconsin, USA - JAN 3, 2018
On tap at random pizza place in Port St Lucie, FL. Pale golden pour. Nice lacing. Aroma has grape, lagery yeast, sour wheat, some fruit. Taste is of light fruits, grape, some yeast. Medium bodied, a bit of alcohol, the blend is fair. Finishes yeasty fruity. Shrug, if corn, it is hidden. Not horrible. 11
