As far as pale lagers go, this stuff isn’t that bad. It’s got those saaz hops going for it, I guess. But honestly, what true beer drinker likes pale lagers? Unlike the American macro pale lagers, this one actually taste like beer, with a decnt sweet, malt presence and some mild hops, but if your looking for any complexity at all, steer clear of this, and any other pale lager. Very harsh carbonation. Very light golden colour, slightly hoppy/bitter finish. Nothing special but from time to time I enjoy one on a patio. Pwn3d (1958) - Manhattan, New York, USA - AUG 16, 2007
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2009 Bottle, Draft. Obviously has a high class image. Its not as premium in Europe from what I hear. Anyways I really liked this beer at one time but after experiencing more beers theres a lot better for cheaper. Nice Alc content tyler_mn (2464) - SLP, Minnesota, USA - AUG 16, 2007
Tap. Sweet nose: corn and sugar. OK flavor: there are actually some decent German hops hiding close to the finish. Better than most of the other InBev and BMC offerings, but nothing spectacular. strings (377) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - AUG 18, 2007
Uhhhhhhh... not much to say about this stock standard lager really. Admittedly it’s usually a better alternative to the array of awful Australian lagers on tap, but hard to get past the cringe factor of paying extra and participating in the charade that you are lashing out on the good stuff.

Saying this beer is overrated is an understatement, but that’s what an advertising budget is made for, I suppose! Not a bad beer by any means, but certainly nothing special. Typical Euro lager profile, perhaps a bit more hoppy than others. Colour is almost nonexistent. Worth having every now and then, but how this beer manages to survive at its price point baffles me. On tap at Waldo Pizza, in Lees Summit. Pours a clear light yellow with a thin white head. Grainy and bready pale malt with a light citrus hop backing. Light to medium-bodied and creamy smooth, it finishes clean and slightly bitter; pretty nice for a pale lager. The flavor follows the nose almost to a "T" but it seriously degrades with time. This one, like most pale lagers, becomes awful if allowed to warm. Drink it quickly. zeke626 (460) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 27, 2007
Pale yellow/gold body with bubbly white head. Aroma is pale malts and comes off slightly skunky. Light body with some sweet and bitter flavors. Tends to finish on the dry side with a light bitter bite. mike_77 (7274) - Breda, NETHERLANDS - NOV 29, 2007
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2013 UK version (4.8%)...... Bright yellow colour, no head. Corn malt taste. Very sweet and gassy. Belgian version....
For a lager this is full on flavour as well as being easy to drink. There’s a metallic edge to it but overall it’s quite good 426311 = 2.6 thenumber1g (74) - Cary, North Carolina, USA - DEC 17, 2007
Its an okay beer, I like it’s bitterness but the after taste just doesn’t taste great. Drink it with something salty!
