Clear gold with thin white head. Aroma of alcohol. Reasonable bitterness throughout, but thin and not complex.

Clear amber. Head white-transparant, nearly immediately gone. Disparate bubbling. Nose of alcohol, grain, sugar, oxydised. Bitter flavour, hoppy, perfumed, on top of caramel malt. Not bad, but it tastes more top-fermenting than lager. Retronasal more bitterness, less agreable, long lasting. Rather well-bodied. Fizzy despite little carbonation. Bitterness at tongsides keeps going on in the aftertaste. Egyptian beer - well, they were amongst the first in history. Yet I expected the worst. It's definitely better than that.

Appearance: Clear deep golden color with a fine white head.
Aroma: Mild fruity and malty.
Palate: Medium + body and slightly sweet. Mild hoppy and average carbonation.
Taste: Mild fruity and malty.
Overall impression: Suprisingly nice strong lager from Egypt. So far my favorite Egyptian beer.

Bottle. I found this hard to find in Egypt but finally tracked it down in Cairo. Pours a nice golden color with an off-white head. Distinct bitter flavor that is just right in balance with the hops and malts. Decent beer.

[6.4%ABV] Nice golden colour. Slightly alcoholic and very sweet. This reminds me of a Danish discount drunkard beer.
