COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Smaken r ganska enkel men trevlig.

Bottle. Black colour with a disappearing beige head. Aroma: roasted malt, licorice and fruit. Flavor: roasted & sweet, a bit acidic, sweet licorice, caramel, cold coffee, faint smoke, some alcohol. A bit too acidic and unbalanced, but not bad.

Weak aroma - roasty and a bit of caramel maybe. Black, dark tan head that didnt last. Mild caramel, chocolate, and nutty flavors - nothing overpowering. Fairly sweet, not much bitterness. Full body, quite dark. Finishes a little weak for such a dark beer; makes you want more. Good drink-ability for its flavor. Soft carbonation. Dont drink it cold.

larsga (7470) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 5, 2010
Big brown head. Opaque black body goes barely translucent dark red at edges. Aroma like an extinguished candle with chocolate and resin notes. Dry-acidic burnt extinguished candle taste with chocolate and wax notes. Some butterscotch, too. Fullish body. Mild mouthfeel. Dry-acidic waxy licorice aftertaste with resiny vinegary notes. Weird, and not really very successful. Ah well. (0.5l bottle. Batch #104.)
