750ml ceramic bottle EXP 15/01/11 shared Thank you FatPhil&Anna Scent: delicious sour dark malts. Taste: tickling carbonation dark malts and brown sugars spicy bit fruity some bitterness in sour aftertaste. Delicious one Cybercat (6046) - Georgia, USA - APR 23, 2011
Aroma is smoky and chocolaty with yeast and caramel hints. It pours a dark chocolate brown that is opaque save at the edges and has a very thick, if not persistent, tan head - the sample I got fizzed like nobody’s business. Oh noes, wasted beer! Satisfying flavor is malty with smoky, chocolate and nutty tones and just a touch of caramel. Texture is quite fizzy, leaving behind a rather persistent tingle. Pours dark amber almost unclear with a huge frothy tan head. The aroma brings sweet matls and a bit of sweet fruit. The flavor brings spicy Belgian yeast, sweet ester banana notes, and some honey flavors that settle on the tongue. The body is medium, right on for the style. rondphoto (4490) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - MAY 8, 2013
Pours a clear dark ruby amber with a big frothy 4" head that slowly goes away, thick curving sheets of lace. Taste is lightly spiced sweet caramel malt with a twist of dark fruit and earthy bread. Slightly chalky on the roof of the mouth, but still drinks easily. The finish includes a carbonation edge that brings things back into balance. Slightly off the beaten path,...and quite good. Recommended. davidpl (435) - Santiago, CHILE - APR 11, 2008
Appearance: dark mahogany color. Great head with beige color, lasting and rocky.
Aroma: intensive and nice vintage wine and berries smells. Spicy tones similar to ginger, clove and cinnamon. Other aromatic reminiscences like figs, dark raisins, caramel and toast bread.
Flavor: caramel malts start and progress similar to clove and ginger. Fruitiness like berries, raisins and figs. Vintage wine and cherry liquor reminiscences. Light final dry with light citric touch.
Palate: medium and semi-oily texture. Light carbonation.
Balanced, nice and some complex beer. Beautiful bottle.

Semi-clear brown pour with large fading khaki head. Sweet chocolate cherry aroma. Brown sugar, soy, molassis, anise flavors. Very belgian in nature, not a porter. Earthy bitter finish. Medium full body with a creamy carbonation. Cool ass ceramic swing-top. thetmaxx (917) - West Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 20, 2011
Poured from the very unique ceramic bottle. I really bought this to bottle my home brew in this bottle because it is so neat! Poured dark brown, with a decent head. Aroma is nice, roasted, and died fruit, reminded me of lagunitas brew. Flavour was disapointing, not bad, but not as delicious as I’d hoped. Mouthfeel is thick and oily. Finishes with a overcarbonated/ cardboardy taste. Overall its OK to drink, and I may buy more, but mostly for the ceramic bottle. reebtogi (6350) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 3, 2011
UPDATED: NOV 12, 2012 500mL ceramic swing top bottle. Pours a deep amber brown color with tan head and lovely lace. Aromas of toasty malt and chocolate. Tastes sweet and chocolatey up front, followed by some bitterness on the end. A little harsh, but I still enjoyed drinking this one. ALLOVATE (3056) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JAN 5, 2012
Into its own snifter at just on cool. Big Belgian head is mostly lasting atop a bright ruby cola body. A rocky, loose, frothy off-white mess that laces well. There is a hint of Belgian yeast and sherry on the nose amongst layers of chocolate and dark, woody malts, raisins and dried dates, cocoa and lightly roasted coffee beans, yum. Creamy and full well rounded mouthfeel. Flavours of sweet sherry, madeira, oak, smoky charred wood, cola and a late hint of nutmeg spice. Nice, silky malty length only heightened by some sneaky alcohol warmth. A favourite of mine so I have a soft spot for this one. Lovely drinking, and better as it warms. Delicious.
