4.4%abv real ale at Deacon Brodies. Pours a deep caramel/ruby with a one finger, creamy head that thins to a thick film but leaves a nice coating. Aroma has nice notes of caramel, toffee, hints of roast, and traditional spicy/earthy hops. Taste is balanced with slight fruity English yeast notes. Sweet caramel, toffee, bread, and a great ending. Medium body with a low-medium carbonation. A touch thin but still creamy with a slightly dry finish. Overall a really nice beer. Caramel, toffee, slight fruity yeast notes, and a great mouth feel. zimbo (961) - SCOTLAND - MAY 4, 2015
