From tap at Stockbridge Tap. Pours clear and golden deep amber to brown with a creamy and tan head. Mild roasted and maty aroma. Caramel brown, clear, creamy head, good lacing
Aroma - dark caramel malts, quite rich sweet dark malts, light hops
Taste - caramel malts, malty, some fruit dark malt, touch of bready malt, hint of spicy hop, nice easy drinking beer, bit of toasted malts, this soft understated beer really works for me
Palate - soft carb, medium body. Finish as main flavour
Overall - This is the best 80/- i’ve had...way better than Caledonians.
Cask (Blue Blazer, Edinburgh) - Copper in colour. Dried fruit, raisins and caramel in the aroma. Fruity taste with sweet raisins, earthy hops and caramel. Really nice.

4.4%abv real ale at Deacon Brodies. Pours a deep caramel/ruby with a one finger, creamy head that thins to a thick film but leaves a nice coating. Aroma has nice notes of caramel, toffee, hints of roast, and traditional spicy/earthy hops. Taste is balanced with slight fruity English yeast notes. Sweet caramel, toffee, bread, and a great ending. Medium body with a low-medium carbonation. A touch thin but still creamy with a slightly dry finish. Overall a really nice beer. Caramel, toffee, slight fruity yeast notes, and a great mouth feel. Pours dark red amber hue with a small off white eggshell head. Nose is malty toasted and quite earthy. Flavors of toasted malt caramel and very lite earthy hops.
