Cask conditioned at The Dagda Bar, Edinburgh. Chestnut with cream head. This is a dark, malty bitter, perhaps a touch thin, but fruity and creamy enough to keep it in good shape. Quite reasonable. dantheman278 (1365) - SCOTLAND - FEB 17, 2011
Cask at the Bow Bar. Pours a deep amber with a well-formed but short-lived head. Aroma is light coffee, malt and berries. Taste is sweet and smooth, with very little bitterness. Resiny and sweet, with a reasonable aftertaste. Not bad, very drinkable. KnutAlbert (6797) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 23, 2010
CAsk in Edinburgh. Very deep copper. Malty beer, a bit spicy. Gingerbread, caramel, vanilla. Some roasted grain, too. The bitterness is well hidden here. Oakes (19027) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 1, 2010
Dark reddish-brown. The aroma has rich fruits and dark sugars. Sweetish, slightly fruity with caramel accents. Decent complexity. Soft body. Sweetish finish. A good one, their best beer. Beershine (5253) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 24, 2010
Cask @ Guildford Arms. Garnet with a great head. Great bready aroma with currants. Flavors are similar with lots of sweet dried fruits, currants and sultanas. Good bread crust malt flavors. Very nice!
