Bottle courtesy of and shared with Tderoeck. BB 2020.

Bottle at a tasting. Great amount of dark and dried cherries and alcohol and roasty chocolatey malty complexity. Quite balanced and moderate in body, light in carbonation. Lacking some complexity, especially considering the ABV, which is hidden well.

Bottle courtesy of Craig (cheers Craig!) consumed at Cabbage Moors campsite, Cambridge, Monday 5th September 2016 Pours black with a slim mid-dark brown head. Oily texture and mouthfeel, smooth, crikey the head soon disappears. Chocolate and a hint of liquorice on the nose. In the mouth the chocolate and liquorice also present but it’s not a pushy over the top beer. Some dark fruits, only a very light bitterness throughout, a bit of tobacco on the nose, this is nice not as indulgent as I would like but very pleasant. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.9
