Another addition to our Premium range of bottles, Stewart’s Hefeweizen is a beautiful Bavarian style wheat beer.
Fermented with a classic wheat beer yeast and flavoured with a little fresh blueberries, this is a cloudy, complex and beautiful beer with aromas of cloves, banana, and subtle spices. A blend of Maris Otter, Wheat, Oats and Caramalt combine to create a creamy texture and a golden hue.
Hops: Tettnang, Crystal
Malt: Maris Otter, Wheat, Oats

apickles (604) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - SEP 17, 2016
Pours hazy and golden with a really big fluffy head. Wheat and spice on the nose. Very fizzy in the mouth with a good wheaty smoked flavour. Quite light and refreshing

zacgillbanks (5506) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - SEP 10, 2016
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. Cloudy straw coloured with a large foamy head, banana and bubblegum flavours are followed by a sweet, dry vanilla, lemon and earthy finish. Good.

berkshirejohn (6662) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 12, 2016
33cl bottle from Beer52.com. A murky amber pour with a billowing off-white head that falls back to a thin layer; gentle banana aroma; smooth and fizzy in the mouth with a sweet clove and banana taste; then rather more bitterness than I would usually expect from the style; and some spicy warmth to finish with a touch of clementine. Rather good.

Scottishchris (754) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 20, 2016
Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy gold, big fluffy white head. Trad cloves, banana coming through. Medium body, pretty fizzy. Spicy biscuit and more fruit. Good one.

niquillis (2752) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2016
Cask at Congress, Longton. Pours hazy gold with white head. Very true to style, plenty of clove, some banana. Good interpretation.

Jonnybass (5) - Prestonpans, SCOTLAND - SEP 10, 2015 does not count
Pours nicely with a decent head. Lovely malty taste, very refreshing as a Hefeweizen should be.

jamestulloch (4330) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 2, 2015
Bottle from the brewery. Hazy golden body with a large white head. Good lacing. Aroma of steel, cloves and banana. Flavour of Rich Tea biscuit, lemon and white pepper. Medium body with a smooth texture. Very fizzy. A decent, refreshing Hefe, but it doesn’t have the complexity of the very best.

MalcolmTucker (924) - SCOTLAND - JUN 15, 2015
Bottle from brewery shop. Lemon and banana with a good dose of wheat. Soft carbonation. A little more tame than the German equivalents.

blackradioboy (223) - SCOTLAND - JUN 4, 2015
Bottle at Mother India Cafe, Edinburgh. Hard to rate as it's alongside a curry, but it's not too bad. A touch of TCP maybe, but ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at home. Pours hazy golden, nose is banana, clove, taste is similar, yeasty, dry.
