COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled; Regular. Occasionally available in cask.
Based on our IPA malt grist but bolstered by the wonderful American Amarillo Hop our Hollyrood is a world class pale ale.
Pale in colour with a full fresh citrus aroma, Hollyrood has a light body, moderate bitterness and tangy grapefruit flavours. It goes well with light flavoured foods such as tiger prawns in garlic butter, char-grilled chicken, pan fried sea bass, or burger & chips.
Hops: Magnum and Amarillo Malt: Maris Otter and Wheat

Flaska. Ljust bärnstensfärgad, klar. Hyggligt med humle i doften, välbalanserad men tunn smak, bra bitter eftersmak. Medelmåttigt pale ale.

330ml bottle. Pours a lovely bright hazy orange with a white head, quite lively when I poured it. Bottle conditioned. Very tropical nose, pineapple and mango. Taste is light malt into a citrus mild bitter burst. Fairly juicy beer. Love the name, love the beer. Very Sessionable. Sláinte

Bottle from Oddbins Beer Shop, Blackheath. Cloudy amber pour with a white head. Lots of sweet citrus in the aroma. Nicely balanced sweet fruit flavours. Very tasty.

At first seems like a bit of an average APA but didn’t like the soapy/skunky astringency in the taste. Also the hops remind me of Sierra Nevada Pale, which isn’t my favorite style of APA. Upon comparing the hops they use, looks like they both use magnum, so maybe I just don’t like that hop variety?

330ml bottle from Craigie’s farm shop. Small white head, nice lacing. Hazy amber body. Gentle hoppy nose, straw and light citrus. Flavour is grass, grapefruit, biscuit malt, a little caramel. Nice lingering bitter aftertaste. Medium carbonation, sharp on the tongue. Easy drinking, refreshing, good pale.

Lively golden beer with a slight haze to it and a white frothy head. Dry, grapefruity aroma. Flavour is nicely balanced. Dry citrus hop but with a touch of lemony sweetness as well. Feels quite rich in the mouth. It’s not spectacular but it is very drinkable.
