Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. It poured a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of roasted coffee and some milk chocolate. The taste was a creamy caramel sweetness balancing the roasted coffee notes. Good stuff. Strykzone (7357) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Sampled at esbls. A lot of red in the dark brown beer. A tan creamy head. Some roast but not a lot. Earth. Not a lot going on but very easy to drink. Stuu666 (13398) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 8, 2014
Keg at holyrood 9a. Pours black, bit thin and cold, light and roasty, smooth coffee. doradobotella (238) - Madrid, SPAIN - JUN 10, 2014
Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This black beer has ruby red highlights and a strong floral fruity coffee flavour. It has chocolate and coffee with a red fruit and roasted finish. Excellent!

bottle from oddbins. very strong coffee aroma. the cold press is strong in this one. flavour is nice but rather one dimensional, mainly coffee with hints of chocolate and berry. mouthfeel a bit thin. finish is quite bitter. not really a stout... MalcolmTucker (924) - SCOTLAND - JAN 17, 2014
Bottle from vino. Obvious coffee aroma. Tastes almost exactly like one of those iced coffees in a can. Very thin. Too much coffee not enough beer. Beersiveknown (5284) - NORTHERN IRELAND - JAN 15, 2014

from appellation wines, dalry rd
dark cola brown, slight beige head. Dry Smokey coffee, chocolate. Fairly thin body, light carbonation, great coffee flavour.
500ml bottle from h. Very dark brown, almost black, not much head. Toasted coffee aroma flavour & aftertaste. Slightly sweet & herby. This is colde coffee. Scopey (14730) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 16, 2013
Bottle from Tomlinson’s care of Colin "5K" Bois. It pours near black with a small light tan head. The nose is earthy, good deal of coffee, roasty and light spice. The taste is roasted malt, coffee, toast, mild acidity, cocoa and light bitterness with a dry, roasty finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Lacking in a bit of body to be honest, but tastes pretty nice.
