Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. It poured a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of roasted coffee and some milk chocolate. The taste was a creamy caramel sweetness balancing the roasted coffee notes. Good stuff.

Bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This black beer has ruby red highlights and a strong floral fruity coffee flavour. It has chocolate and coffee with a red fruit and roasted finish. Excellent!

bottle from oddbins. very strong coffee aroma. the cold press is strong in this one. flavour is nice but rather one dimensional, mainly coffee with hints of chocolate and berry. mouthfeel a bit thin. finish is quite bitter. not really a stout...

Bottle from vino. Obvious coffee aroma. Tastes almost exactly like one of those iced coffees in a can. Very thin. Too much coffee not enough beer.

Bottle from Tomlinsons care of Colin "5K" Bois. It pours near black with a small light tan head. The nose is earthy, good deal of coffee, roasty and light spice. The taste is roasted malt, coffee, toast, mild acidity, cocoa and light bitterness with a dry, roasty finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Lacking in a bit of body to be honest, but tastes pretty nice.
