An above average IPA. Nothing special, but not too bitter nor offensive in any way.
Cask at Stewart’s. Pours dark straw with off-white clingy head. Nose is floral, fruity, and malty, with pronounced hops. Tastes fruity, floral, resiny, hoppy, with a big black pepper component. Well made, and another winner from Ric Hoffman. savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - OCT 9, 2009
On tap @ Stewart’s. Clear deep amber with an off white head. Herbal hop aroma with lots of caramel and a little citrus. The bitterness hits you first then the sweetness comes in a balances it out a bit, then the bitterness finishes long. Medium body, syrupy mouth feel. Almost tasted like an IIPA, a bit hot, but very good none the less. GMCC2181 (1613) - Newark, Delaware, USA - SEP 17, 2009
Tap at the brewery. Poured into a pint glass, red in color, decent head. Good aroma of fruity hops. Taste is the same, nice fruity hops with a slightly bitter aftertaste. It did have a clean finish though. Medium texture. Overall... a decent IPA
