2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Note: I am not a big fan of Tripels. Weak nose -- maybe a little bit of sweet malt. The appearance is a medium yellow with a hint of orange and a golden glow. Good head. Taste was pretty nondescript for me. A little bread, a little malt. Not something I’ll order.
Transparent golden pour w/ no head or lacing. Very nice Belgian scented aroma. Taste is complex & fairly smooth at nearly 10%. I’m a fan! stevoj (5635) - Boise, Idaho, USA - AUG 9, 2012
A decent approximation of a Belgian tripel. Served in a tulip glass, it lacked the towering head of a true tripel, and the flavor notes were much more subdued. On the right ttrack, but nowhere near the original Travlr (26198) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 11, 2011

Draft @ brewpub. Pours gold with thin white head. Aroma is spice, yeast, and light malt. Taste is sweet echoing the nose with malt and yeast flavors. Some subtle citrus flavors are also present. Overall, a good, smooth beer. ROGUE (2216) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - FEB 2, 2011
On tap at brewpub. Pours a clear honey gold with a two finger white head that reduces to a ring. The aroma is spicy, with candi sugar, honey and a touch of alcohol. Taste is a candy sweetness, vanilla cream, light caramel, citrus, tropical fruit, peppery hops and Belgian yeast. Light and creamy with moderate carbonation. Very drinkable with little noticeable alcohol. ben4321 (6769) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - AUG 17, 2009

Aroma: Big fruit nose, pretty complex, spice, sugar, banana, citrus, apple
Appearance: Clear orange-gold color
Flavor: Sweet and malty, nice fruity malts and spice, balanced and complex
Palate: Nice mouthfeel, mild alcohol burn, medium body
I found this to be a really nice example of this style. Well made with quite a bit of interesting fruity complexity to it. This was a sure winner for me, really tasty. I wasn’t surprised at all when the bartender mentioned its popularity amongst the regulars, a very nice brew!
On tap, at brewpub. Pours a cloudy yellow gold body with a one finger frothy white head. The nose is very spicy, both from the yeast and actual spices it seems. A little alcohol and bready malt. The flavor is just as spicy, with a lot of yeastiness and thick bready malt. Clove, banana, and candi sugar are all pretty prominent. A bit of an alcohol kick on the back end. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a bit of a stickiness on the finish. Moderate soft fizzy carbonation. Overall, OK, but not a big fan of this one. BCTWC 09. Pours a hazy deep golden and a thin white head. Aroma of cardamon and phenolicy yeasty belgian spice- some fruity banana esters as well and hints of apple juice. More clove and cardamon flavor, doughy yeastiness and good fresh bready malts for the backbone- and a thinning sweet palate - candi sugar and more earthy dry spiciness in the end.
