COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Enjoyment of first-rate beer with a pleasant hoppy character. Straw-colored and warm amber glow, pleasantly sparkling with a dry body. Using the aromatic hops from the Mhlviertel region, it entices you with a bouquet of fresh hops and a distinctive bitter finish. 11.4

Poured from can into a pint glass Appearance The beer pours a golden straw color with a puffy white foam head. The head has a great level of retention, very slowly fading to leave a good level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell The aroma is biggest of a bready smell mixed with some grain and a bit of a corn sweetness mixed within. Rounding out the aromas are some light grass and a little bit of lemon and caramel. Taste The taste begins with a light cracker taste mixed with a light showing of a sour lemon and a little bit of hay. As the taste advances some grainy flavors and a bit of grass join the tongue, all while a little more lemon joins the taste. With a bit of drying out of some of the sweeter flavors and even more grain, one is left with a crisp and somewhat clean and slightly sour taste to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the style, a little thinner body may have been slightly better to create a very crisp brew, but even with that said, the feel was rather nice overall. Overall A rather decent pils. Decently crisp and refreshing with a nice level of flavor and drinkability. Not a bad brew to at least give a try to.

Draught at Krah-Krah, Vienna, 23.7.2015. Clear gold with a clear white head. Extremely buttery-salty taste and butter, some bread and hay in the mouth. Medium body, soft bitter finish and lots of carbonation.

Pyrkadulla 8/2015. Mild and boring pilsener, quite watery. Nothing really disturbing anyway. A bit grassy in a positive way.

Can. Barley malt and hay aroma. Medium yellow with large white head. Lightly sweet lemon, barley malt, and moderately bitter herbal hay flavor. Decent.

This poured a straw yellow color with lots of carbonation and a frothy white head. You definitely get that grassy hop aroma. My palate isnt super sophisticated, but I want to say I could smell the Saaz hops. Its quite crisp and dry. There is a lingering bitterness in the after taste. And its not a very pleasant bitterness in my opinion.

This was not a pleasant beer drinking experience. Some grainy, corny, grassy flavors, but also a a lot of metallic, vinegary flavors. No thank you.

4/18/2015 (bottle): Grainy, grassy, crisp, and clean. Classic Austrian Pils. This definitely takes me back to my three months spent in Austria in late 2000. I still enjoy this beer quite a bit, but slightly prefer the Stiegl Goldbru.

A real Austrian Pilsner (Pilsener?). This is getting very close to the original source, and I like it.
