Much better in cans, if you can find them. Great session beer. Perfect for hot summer days next to the water.

I couldnt be more excited to try this. Pours a cloudy grapefruit juice color (the regular, not the ruby red stuff) with a fizzy, foamy eggshell head that disappears quickly and leaves no lace. Nose involves substantial grapefruit aroma, and not artificial but really quite surprisingly true. Other than that, a light dash of lemon pinesol is the only other thing Im getting on the nose. Pretty sweet flavor, a fair tartness, and a dash of bitterness, quite refreshing to no surprise. Light bodied, actively carbed, crisp and cleansing, with a tingly tart finish. On its own, its quite refreshing and would of course be a great hot weather beverage. Personally, I enjoy the hell out of grapefruit, so as this style of beverage goes, I would reach for this ahead of the lemon and orange shandies of the world. The cocktail recipes seem endless with this, from making a modified Paloma with tequila and lime to using it in place of tonic or club soda in a gin and tonic or gin rickey. A dash of it to top various martinis to provide some fizz and a little citrus. I can see why all the cool kids in Chicago have been making this as hard to get as Zombie Dust. Well, kind of...

330ml bottle. Pours light orange, lightly cloudy. Aroma of a grapefruit mineral water. Fruity grapefruit juice flavor. Amazing! Not cloyingly sweet. Bitter grapefruit juice well balanced against any malt sweetness. Grapefruit soda! (3952)

Yu know youre eating at a quality restaurant when this is far and away the best thing on the beer menu. Very cloudy yellow. Te rest of my review could consist of the word grapefruit 20 times, as thats the aroma and taste all the way through. Total summer drinker and far better than any low alcohol macro youll find.

Once I opened the can(this version is 2% alcohol, 60% juice(lemon,grapefruit,orange)40% beer) some grapefruit smell came out with some rotten egg like smell. From glass its a nice grapefruit smell w/ a little wheat grass/ funky smell. Taste is a lot of grape fruit with a nice crisp refreashing lager beer taste from time to time. White 2 finger head that stays a little bit then all gone. Pale light yellowy? grapefuit ish look. Cheers.

Pours a cloudy golden orangy colour.... no head. Aroma of grapefruit juice. Flavour like grapefruit juice... really no beer flavour. This tastes like carbonated grapefruit juice with a little less edge. I dont know what to say about this... I dont hate grapefruit juice. I dont know how to really hate this.

UPDATED: MAY 10, 2014 Tall can. Pours cloudy bright yellow, no head. Nose of fresh grapefruit juice. Flavour is grapefruit with a beer kick reminiscent of tobacco. Pretty much an alcopop, but the best one I can recall having: the fruit feels fresh, and has a nice balance between sweet and tart. edit: drinking this now, knocking up the rating from 3.0 to 3.7 Its not a beer and shouldnt be rated as such; its a very enjoyable beer cocktail.

Lady friend of mine mentioned some grapefruit beer, which sounded semi-intriguing, so I snatched this up. Didnt read that its mostly soda, but then it was too late. For a grapefruit soda...it was fantastic! For a beer it was sugared out, fruity, and bubbled like...well...a soda. Duh. Interesting conception, especially for an alcoholic soda. Probs wont buy again if I see it.
