On tap at the Draft House, Tower Bridge on 4 December 2010. Another of the Austrian beers that this place seems to make something of a speciality in. Lots of grapefruit. Sweet. The tartness of the grapefruit helps to counterbalance the sweetness. Quite refreshing. Of course it’s a bit of a confection but better than I expected. Maybe that impression was enhanced by being a passable palate-cleanser after the pretty dire Schremser Naturpark.

Koelschtrinker (21489) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - AUG 13, 2015
Fruchtiger Beginn mit mild süßen Noten und angenehm trocken säuerlicher Grapefruit. Spritzig, etwas herb, süffig. Etwas bitterer Nachhall, was aber wohl eher von der Grapefruit stammt. Dennoch gut! 5/6/7/7/9/6

Cloudy pink-orange with no head. It’s very fruity, quite refreshing, moderately sweet, with a tangy touch. Drinkable.

Tap @ The Fat Cat, Norwich. Medium head with medium duration. Color is hazy pale yellow. Aroma and taste are grapefruit, malt, sugar and hops. Sweet citric finish.

On tap at Draft House Tower Bridge. cloudy pale gold colur with thin white head. Comical grapefruit aroma. Its a grapefruit radler what do you expect. Its quite refreshing and quite tasty. Grapefruit is pretty authentic. Hot day thirst quencher.

Can at PIB 2016, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of pithy grapefruit that dominates. Flavour is along the same lines, with tons of pithy grapefruit with medium sweetness. This won’t get a lot of love, but for the style, they nailed it. Solid.

Benzai (16682) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - APR 12, 2013
Sampled from can thanks to Vaiz. Opaque pale yellow color, medium sized instantly disappearing white head. Smell and taste grapefruit and lemonade with a slight sweetness. Low body, low carbonation. Not a bad taste, but not a beer taste off course.

brokensail (16645) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 16, 2014
Bottle @ Mattern Sausages. Somewhat hazy golden straw pour with a short lived white head. Smells of grapefruit/citrus soda. Sort of like Squirt... Citrusy soda-water, lemon-lime, and a bit of grass. Mild grain character. Flavor has some soda and grain/bread sweetness. Lots of grapefruit soda and lemon seltzer. Very light bitterness on the finish. This was pretty much perfect after a 2 mile run. Crushable.

Can - Grapefruit pop with a bit of alcohol kick. Nice and refreshing. Great for a hot day, but not really beer.

bhensonb (15756) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 7, 2013
Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy gold with a transient white head. Very true to the fruit aroma. Nice body. Flavor starts nicely fruity, definitely grapefruit, but the finish is a bit of a wheaty letdown. Fun drink.
