Bottle. Pours hazy pale yellow orange with a small white head. Aroma is grapefruit, a bit spicy, soda like, some ginger. Flavor is the same, lots of grapefruit and some ginger and herbal notes. Of course very soda like on carbonation and a light spritzy body. Very refreshing though it would be difficult to drink a lot.

Cloudy with the aroma of grapefruit. Huge carbonation. Lots of grapefruit taste. Hard to say this is a beer, more like a grapefruit soda. Interesting though and very easy to drink.

Bottle, pours hazy yellow with a white head. Grapefruit aroma is not too artificial, beer is detectable, it’s not overly sweet and there’s even a bit of bitterness.

UPDATED: MAY 30, 2016 Shared 16.9 oz. can. Pours a cloudy orange-yellow with a white head. Aroma is grapefruit juice/soda. Taste is the same. It’s rather sweet, as you would expect from fruit juice. Not really tasting the beer at all. It’s okay if you’re looking to drink fruit juice, but it’s not that great if you’re looking to drink beer.

I couldn’t be more excited to try this. Pours a cloudy grapefruit juice color (the regular, not the ruby red stuff) with a fizzy, foamy eggshell head that disappears quickly and leaves no lace. Nose involves substantial grapefruit aroma, and not artificial but really quite surprisingly true. Other than that, a light dash of lemon pinesol is the only other thing I’m getting on the nose. Pretty sweet flavor, a fair tartness, and a dash of bitterness, quite refreshing to no surprise. Light bodied, actively carbed, crisp and cleansing, with a tingly tart finish. On it’s own, it’s quite refreshing and would of course be a great hot weather beverage. Personally, I enjoy the hell out of grapefruit, so as this style of beverage goes, I would reach for this ahead of the lemon and orange shandies of the world. The cocktail recipes seem endless with this, from making a modified Paloma with tequila and lime to using it in place of tonic or club soda in a gin and tonic or gin rickey. A dash of it to top various martinis to provide some fizz and a little citrus. I can see why all the cool kids in Chicago have been making this as hard to get as Zombie Dust. Well, kind of...

Hazy golden with little white head. Aroma is grapefruit, mealy stuff, dust. Taste is sweet lemonade with tart hops. Medium drinkable. Artificial sweet and a bit cloggy...

The beer pours a hazy, light yellow color with a large white head. The aroma is pretty much just grapefruit, but there is an element of the carbonation (that’s super spritzy) that the nose recognizes as reminiscent of citrus soda. The taste is mildly sweet and a touch bitter with the flavor not too heavy on the tongue; it is very easy to see how this beer would be very drinkable on a hot summer day. The palate fuses a lively carbonation, light body, and a slick texture.

Cloudy pale yellow color, thin white head. Light body, high carbonation. Texture is watery. Aroma of grapefruit and sugar. Highly sweet taste with sugary finish. I juste hate overly carbonated and watery radlers.
