3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 19, 2013 Color was a nice amber color with about one and a half fingers of nice creamy white head in the glass from a can. Aroma was a perfect balance of malt and hops and some nuttiness in the middle. The taste had some sweet malt up front followed by caramel nuttiness. Had a bitter bite on the back end, not sure if this is hop bitterness or an off flavor. A solid beer overall and sessionable.
Tap. Press clear Ameer, small beige head, good lacing. Aroma is nutty, dark bread, malt, caramel, hint of grass, Noble hop. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter. Medium body, soft mouthfeel. Solid. deyholla (12803) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 6, 2017
Sampled from the tap at the Rigby. Pours a clear amber with an off white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has grass and straw with some bread underlying. Flavor is similar with a combination of grass, hay and straw. jackl (8605) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 6, 2017

Cheap smelling. Lots of head, maybe frozen at the pour? Good taste though and palate. Sweet ballanced and crisp. akoeninger (782) - Wisconsin, USA - NOV 9, 2016
On tap at Hopcat. Golden amber, faint aroma of toasted malt. Seems like a maltier vwrsion of a pbr to me. Grassy hops, toasted malt, slightly burnt with a slight caramel sweetness. Finishes dry

Draught pint at Lucy’s #7 in Beloit, WI, October 24th. Darkish amber-bronze body with a thinnish but fully lasting white head...very faint toasted malt aroma, bit of smokiness and sugar, what I can detect is pleasant enough but it never really blooms...lightly sweet on the tongue, toasty/burnt character shows up quickly and dominates throughout...dry, bitter, burnt finish that lasts and lasts...full-bodied and rather lightly carbonated. The tap list was rather unexciting on this visit, so I picked this because I don’t believe I’ve had anything from this brewery yet - while I didn’t love it, it’s certainly a bit more interesting than many beers in this style and I look forward to trying some other, potentially more exciting products from these guys. wlajwl (7352) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - JUL 14, 2016
Aroma is toasted/earthy malts, very light citrus and nutty/slightly musty notes. The flavor is nutty malts, citrus/fruit, earthy/slightly dirty and a tart/very lightly bitter finish. arkurzynski (2484) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 19, 2016
Reddish amber. Nose of sugary toasted malt and light hops. Flavor is biscuit and toasted nut with some grassy hops. A mildly off-putting flavor combo. Travlr (27125) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 22, 2015
