Opaque toffee colored with a fine tan head. Decent lacing. Ok intensity in the aroma. Medium + body and a smooth carbonation level. Balanced sweetness. Chocolate, toffee, milky and roast in the flavor. Nice mellow texture.

Can served in my Spigelau Stout glass. A deep inky black pour with a thick tan, slightly rusty, head of foam. The aroma is lightly roasty with lots of bready chocolate. The beer has a medium-full velvety body and a nice chocolate cream flavor, kind of like a fluffy chocolate bun. I dig the light roast character that cuts the sweetness back a bit. I figured this would pair well with ice cream so I got some Baskin Robbins, I was right they accentuated the chocolate in each other and also the ice cream revealed a smokey roast character. Quite a nice collaboration.

Opaque copper, foamy, quickly subsiding café-au-lait head. Full body, silky texture, flavorful, great carbonation, moderate heat, short and harsh finish. Very bitter, sweet background, hint of sourness. Dark roast coffee more than chocolate, greens's bitterness. Too bitter for a stout, in my opinion. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
