Clear golden with a thick bubbly white head. The nose is very strange, as if it were a mix of watermelon rind, earthy rye and rice, herbal tones and this weird pseudo-marijuana undertone. Smooth and dry, crisp flavor that starts Belgian blondeish, then turns very grainy with a pilsner-like finish. A tad grassy but very Belgian grainy, turning German grainy at the finish.

Aroma is strong skunk. Appearance is a soap sudsy head and scum. Flavor has a bit of fish at first, then is a little sweet tang and not a lot else. Bit of a let down from Stillwater. Sure don’t understand this high rating, although I acknowledge it is in green glass.

Bottle, february 13th 2016. Clear amber body with a huge white head. Aroma of hay and earthy hops, harsh malt taste with cardamom and apples. Crisp malty finish. Not exactly up to the standard I expected from either Stillwater or the fancy bottle.

With Z , pours a rusty orange gold color with a large white head. Nose is barnyard funk, citrus and yeast . Taste is sweet citrus, less funk with yeast and ’ grain ’ . Finishes on the same sweet grainy yeasty notes . Quaff Score 7 / 10

ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 30, 2015
Bottle. Pours a grains, hay, nuts, biscuits, almonds and hints of red berries, bread yeast and wet grass. Taste is grains, almonds, bread crusts, rye and hints of dried fruits, wet grass, leaves and sour yeasty tones. Light body, medium to high carbonation. A bit muddly in its taste profile, going all over the field with semi-sour, nutty and grainy notes seemingly in no particular direction. Interesting experiment that needs to be worked on.

Bottle at home, cork almost went through the roof, but to my surprise a gusher did not follow in its wake. Smells funky, grainy. Aroma is malt, grain, bread, yeast, light fruit, some apple, barnyard, herbs and spices. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a little bitterness in the dry finish. Body is medium, carbonation is high. Nice bready spicy funky Saison, a bit peculiar and not the most stable, but good.

kajser27 (1958) - Zagreb, CROATIA - NOV 17, 2015
Hazy yellow-amber colored, strong frothy white head, excellent retention. Aroma is classic Saison, malt, straw-hay, bit citrusy, Belgian yeast and peppery. Taste is medium sweet malt, fruits, peppery, straw, Belgian yeast, medium peppery and some lemony bitterness, dry finish. Medium bodied, bit creamy, lively carbonation, zesty.

Murky dark oranhe, big offwhite head. Fruity malt aroma, yeasty and slightly phenolic, light herbal notes. Malty flavour with yeasty and citrus notes. Lively and soft carb. Crisp and dry finish.
