A steady pour into my Teku glass produces a four finger thick, and rising, pale tan colored head that would have overflowed my glass if I didnt choose to eat it instead. The beer is a metallic seeming gold color that shows a brilliantly clear, bright yellow gold hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells of bright fruit and dried hay; specific notes of pear, floral apple, hibiscus, nutty pale malt, pale wheat cracker, and some melon like notes.

Effervescent, which pairs well with the light body, dry, which still cant suppress the bright fruit notes, and quite complex, with a mlange of flavors, this beer is my idea of a Saison. The grain character has a nice, dried straw like character to it, a soft cracker like malt note, and this mixes with a light herbal character, perhaps a touch of lemon zest, or citrus character, and grassy hop notes. The yeast character contributes a soft clove character, a slight mustiness, some woody black pepper, a touch of ginger character.

This is quite nice, not the most complex Saison, but it definitely hits the spot.

37,5 cl bottle, shared. Bottle opens with a big bang and a serious flying cork. Suprisingly there is no gusher. Aroma: SKunk, grains, watermelon, hint of funk. Taste: Light sweet, light bitter, Grainy, skunk, herbal hops, yeast,,cilantro, soap, some sour funky tones. Medium body, slick texture, slightly above average carbonation (but not annoying) Not a perfect beer, but quite interesting even while on first sight it made seem a bit basic. Clearly a farmhouse ale feel to it.

Pours a golden orange with a small white head. Aromas of citrus/ginger. Almost took an eye out with the cork. This thing packed a lot of pressure.

Clear golden with a thick bubbly white head. The nose is very strange, as if it were a mix of watermelon rind, earthy rye and rice, herbal tones and this weird pseudo-marijuana undertone. Smooth and dry, crisp flavor that starts Belgian blondeish, then turns very grainy with a pilsner-like finish. A tad grassy but very Belgian grainy, turning German grainy at the finish.

Aroma is strong skunk. Appearance is a soap sudsy head and scum. Flavor has a bit of fish at first, then is a little sweet tang and not a lot else. Bit of a let down from Stillwater. Sure dont understand this high rating, although I acknowledge it is in green glass.

Bottle, february 13th 2016. Clear amber body with a huge white head. Aroma of hay and earthy hops, harsh malt taste with cardamom and apples. Crisp malty finish. Not exactly up to the standard I expected from either Stillwater or the fancy bottle.
