bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- btld 12/3/13 Clear dusty golden amber color radiates warmth; thin beige head cover, bands of lace. Taste is strong harsh malt that quickly adds honey, hay, and edgy spice. It moves to the palate with enough hops to balance. I know it’s a year old, but I expected a lighter touch. Seems overbearing, even for a Belgian Strong.

New Year’s Eve tasting Flight (3 of 3 11:05p) - bottled. Small head pours. But, it’s gone almost immediately. Orang-yellow colored body. Small sweet aroma. But, not as big as the other Sweetwater beers I had tonight. Reminds me of a cross between blood orange and pink grapefruit. Underwhelmed.

Bottled. Cloudy gold. Fruits and spices yeasty Brett funk. Pretty nice effort as usual.

On tap at the brewpub, light yellow pour, nice fruity Belgian spice, dry light bitter finish.

0.355l bottle. This one pours a cloudy yellow golden looking body with a nice big lasting white top that’s leaving some lacings. Smells quite nice. Sweet wheat like with a fresh citrus kick combined with sweetness from honey and some tartness from orange peel and green apples. Nice. It tastes like a well brewed generic Belgian strong one. Belgian yeast, a sharp alcohol sting without burning in any way. Mild honey and wheat sweetness but also a orange-like flavor here. It’s actually quite delicate and delicious this. Lingering sweet wheat-like aftertaste on this. Enjoyable. 08.06.2014

Draft at the Knick. Pours golden yellow, hazy, with rimming, lacing white head. Floral notes with some mild bread. Mildly sweet with honey and herbal notes, coriander, cardemon. Nice BSA

Very wired fruity and creamy sweet yet bitter beer. In conclusion a very subtile beer that kind of finishes with a perfect lager taste.

Golden color with small head. Sweet fruits, bananas, flowery aroma. More fruity sweetness than malt sweetness which makes it very interesting. Moderate bitterness. Nice!

Comes out of the tap hazy yellow with a decent eggshell head. Aroma has yeasty, malty, and floral components, inviting a taste. Flavor is yeasty and malty with some hops and a subtle floral note. Texture is about average in both fizz and thickness. If not outstanding, certainly enjoyable. Just follow your nose - or whatever.

Pours a half finger of head on a cloudy light straw body. The aroma is mild overall: coriander, lemon and dry grain. The taste starts with lemon bitterness, moves to a mild honey sweetness and finishes with a dry bitter note. Good profile. The texture is silky with right amount of fizz. Excellent.
