COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This deep amber hued ale takes its inspiration from Germany while still nodding to the Belgian farmhouse tradition. The base is comprised of German two-row, wheat, Cara-Munich, and roasted barley. Generously hopped with a blend of Perle, Spalt, and Hallertau Mittelfrh and fermented with a rustic Belgian farmhouse ale yeast. These elements together provide a melange of earth and fruit aromas backed with hints of caramel with a dry clean finish.

Was a real nice well rounded easy drinking beer with a good bit of creativity qualities flowing through. I got some cherries and a bit of fig hinting towards almost a Belgian style beer but it mellowed out with some other fruit like qualities and finished real clean and crisp.

355ml bottle pours a hazy light orange brown color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is grassy with some light fruits, caramel and earthy notes. Taste is a grassy, earthy hop bitterness with a light fruity and caramel malty sweetness finishing with some spicy notes. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a pleasant farmhouse style ale that is balanced and tasty.

Buona carbonatura, in bocca buona tessitura e secchezza finale. Note dolci e sentori di frutta secca, finale leggermente amaro e aspro, secchezza e amaro persistente. Ottima birra avvolgente, con buonissimi senotori e vari livelli che si lascia bere con molta facilit.

bottle @ home. Pours a dark copper colored liquid with a large, tan head. Sweet, malt/toffee aroma with spices, pine, fruits. Taste is dry and slightly toffee sweet with flavors of malt, bread, herbs and dry spices, yeast, grass, orange zest and strawberries. Finish is a bit cloying, almost like glue on the tongue.

Pours a nice dark reddish amber color. Aromas of fruit, and some other hints, maybe some spices, maybe caramel. Flavor is a bittersweet, malty, and a hint of hops with a nice bittersweet finish.

12 oz. bottle. Pours an enormously thick, gradually collapsing, ivory head, with slight lacing, over a clear amber copper (SRM 16) body.....nose is mild toffee/caramel, light ginger, herbal notes, balanced......taste is slightly sweet with mild toffee/caramel notes, becoming dry, with herbal hops, light spices including ginger, finishing with mild pepper, and soft lingering bitterness......mouth feel, light of medium body, no alcohol, high carbonation with moderate acid. Although an interesting beer to drink, this is a bit muddled in the aromas and flavors, and the ginger ale like aromas and flavors are a bit off putting. Also, while the Belgian yeast put in some of the spice, there were many other characteristics missing. I do wonder if the bottle has been corectly stored. BJCP 7/3/12/4/6
