Funky wild and sour apple and currant aroma. Hazy ochre, thick billowy yellow head. Sour cherry, candi sugar, flavor. Fig and vanilla finish. A little hot in the finish, but welcome. Well rounded, multi-dimensional, and exceptionally well made. This brewery is on fire right now! 77ships (10844) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JAN 15, 2012
75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBWG 2012 – thx to Bart – Bordeaux amber with a white head, smells of sweet dark malts, dark fruits & spices, slightly creamy with wood, taste is velvety with dark fruits, caramel, molten brown sugar, sweet liquid thick oak wood, touch black pepper, saison yeast, touch bitterness from hops, parks in autumn, slightly tart, yummy Pyrmir (6199) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - JUN 15, 2013
750ml bottle. Deep amber with large beige head. Aroma of rye bread, brown sugar and spice, very balanced and complex aroma. Taste is lightly sweet with spices, toffe, rye and pepper, very nice balance and complex palate. Marsiblursi (3076) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUL 22, 2011
(bottle) pours hazy brown with dark amber highlight. Sand colored head. The aroma is fantastic and complex with notes of cracker/cookies/milk chocolate malt, grassy/ herbal hops and doughy/spicy yeast. Undertones of chamomile tea, heather, pears, dust, earth, light lemon acid, swedish pommac, ginger and christmas spices. Really bego-ish, maybe just a bit too malty to be true to style. The flavour is light sweet to dry, light to medium bitter and light acidic. Floral, herbal, grassy, malty, dusty, spicy and light fruity. The mouthfeel is light round, light tart and almost chewy with light to medium carbonation. Malty, light acidic and tiny hoppy finish. Medium bodied. Fantastic! mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - OCT 2, 2014
Easily one of the best ambers I’ve had, although that may not be a fair comparison, due to the ABV of this one. Strong and solid malty notes. For a purported farmhouse, not getting any Belgian yeast notes, but that is OK. This one is super, super flavorful.

Bottle from Ryan. Brown huge white head, tiny carb bubbles. Doughy yeast up front, dark fruits, light tartness, roast, light herbal, faint munich sweetness. Roast comes through a bit more in flavor, otherwise much the same. Well attenuated. Think a few more months will help this round out a bit. Reall well done as is, probably even better down the road. I need another Ryan, thanks bro! Slayer85 (1051) - Firenze, ITALY - APR 13, 2011
750 ml bottle, courtesy of Dickinsonbeer, thanks a lot! A hazy dark amber to brown beer with a huge, frothy, mostly lasting, lacing, off-white head. The aroma is moderately malty, lightly to moderately hoppy, lightly to moderately yeasty. There are notes of toasted gr, liain/bread, wheat, flowers, banana, earth, cloves, red fruits, hints of caramel and nuts, perhaps a hint of chocolate. The flavour is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately sour, lightly bitter. Medium body, slick texture, lively carbonation, ong finish with medium bitterness, lightly alcoholic. Not easy to define, a Belgian ale with saison like characteristics, and wheat beer aromas/flavours. Complex, especially in the nose, it always occur new notes, well balanced, and very fruity/herbal. Not totally true to the belgian way of brewing, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. A very good introductio to Stillwater and underrated. Walt (2449) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUN 4, 2011
Pour is hazed deep amber with a dense and sticky off white head...smell is sweet and very musty...earth, and leaves...it does indeed smell like fall...taste is slightly caramelly sweet right up front but then an aggressive effervescence quickly wipes that away and leaves a yeasty funk that reminds me exactly of Fantome...Fantome Automne I think...wow...finish is lingering and slightly herbal... impressive....too bad they aren’t distributed in Texas. drpimento (3736) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 2, 2011
Let this warm a bit out of the fridge. Poured with a nice, foamy, frothy, fluffy, billowy, thick, creamy, fine, light tan head, that lasts forever and lots of lace. Color is a clear, brown orange medium amber with lots of tiny bubble trails. Aroma is a fresh blend of caramel, berry, toffee, and some astringency. Flavor is a less complex blend of sweet, caramel malt, bitter, carbonic tang. Body is both soft, full and yet cut by the great carbonation. Finish is like flavor and has medium lenght with a little alcohol at the end. Very easy drinking beer. Grew on me the more I "sampled" it. I want another sample. tennisjoel (1484) - Rochester, Minnesota, USA - NOV 3, 2011
Purchased while in Florida. Pours a deep amber color with an off white head. Flavors of caramel melded with some spice and hops, nice saison like finish. Really unique brew here and very drinkable. I’m loving this.
