750 ml bottle courtesy of BeerandBlues2 (Thanks Brad!) poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, carmel, vanilla, oak,brown sugar and light Tennessee whiskey. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of dark chocolate, roasted malt, carmel, Tennessee whiskey, vanilla and light oak with a smooth dry lingering Tennessee whiskey finish. Bottle. Pours opaque with a medium, frothy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is dark fruity esters, chocolate, oak, bourbon, vanilla, roast and chocolate malt with earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with oak, bourbon and vanilla, light hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation.

750mL at Torst. Pours clear deep maroon. Larger beige head. Good retention. Nose is mild but present toasted coconut, lots of volatile phenols distract. Mild impending sourness in aroma. Bottle shared with RB dads. Aroma is buttery, bourbon and chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium to creamy with notes of chocolate, coffee, rOast, sugary spice, bourbon, butter and oak. Great stout.
