UPDATED: MAR 2, 2013 amazing green apple, herbs, green grapes, and sweet oak-butter lace through the whole beer. carbonation is big and carries the flavors all over the palate quickly. a touch of diacetyl, but it’s not terribly obvious.

Bottle from Max’s Taphouse thanks to Brainlair. Pours a hazy orange-yellow. Lots of carbonation and a thick white head. Aroma is dominated by grapes. Nice and fresh and fruity with a bit of funk. Flavor is dry, oaky, and bretty. Fruity with notes of grapefruit and pineapple. Earthy and funky with a bitter hop finish.

Pours a hazy golden/honey color with a huge white head...excellent retention and lacing. Aroma has tart and funky notes...notable chardonnay...brett is showcased. Flavor is oaky with a note of vanilla...subtle black pepper...not much of the tartness displayed in the aroma...just a hint of chardonnay and a hint of funk. Moutnfeel is silky and somewhat light and the finish is dry and spicy with a hint of charddonay.

Bottle thanks to Sarah. Pours a clear syrupy golden with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a good amount of funk with some red wine notes and a bit of spice and earthy grains backing. Flavor begins with some sweet grains and slightly tart fruits, but finishes with dry red wine and a hint of funk.

11.2 ounce bottle. Served in a Unibroue tulip glass, the beer pours a hazy golden/orange color with an inch and a half off-white head. Head retention is good, and there’s a small amount of lacing. The brew smells like tropical fruit, lemon peel, Chardonnay, oak, peppery spice, and Brett. The taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there’s also some apples and a tart/sour fruity flavor noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s well carbonated and has a somewhat dry finish. I think it’s a pretty good overall brew, it’s a nice mix between a saison and a wild ale. At $8.99 a bottle I’d have no problem buying this one again, it’s definitely worth a try.

Very sparkling. Tastes of fruit, oak, wood, light Brett, sugar, and grapes. Medium body. Tingly, then dry texture. Lively carbonation. Oak, light Brett, barrel, grape, wood finish is dry. 7.2%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2011 light gold, translucent, thin white ring small Bubbled. Nose is a blast of citrus, pineapple, honey grains and sweetness, light dough. Flavor is equally pleasant, bit more egg, not quite as soft or balanced over all aspects. Small bubbled, light carbonation, bit husky-pineapple in finish. Fantastic stuff, the character a bit more refreshing and light than even most JP stuff.

UPDATED: FEB 26, 2012 Sugary cotton candy, fresh pineapple, light honey and dusty yeast , lots of oak and buttery chardonnay. The taste is light to moderately sweet, lightly tart, cotton candy and honey, lots of fresh citrus, pineapple and just a but of tannic chardonnay on the finish. Fucking awesome. Best Stillwater yet! Nice work Brian!

33cl bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a big white head. Aroma is citrus, lemon, yeast, Brett. Medium on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is bitter and lightly sour, yeasty, bread, with a tart, sour finish. The sour is a little harsh, but not terrible.
