Its not bad but its really not a schwarzbier which is first of all a lager. Aroma was mostly roasty toasty malt. Flavor was like nose was quite jockey and bitter and astringent. Okay for drinking but nothing special.

Deep black pour. The nose is softly roasty and a little bit earthy. Some nice molasses and licorice notes with some date and a bit of cooked dark malt. Pretty nice really.

Aroma - some alcohol and roast. Appearance - the body is black. The head is beige and about 1 1/2", and settles into a light foam. Taste - light roasted malt, with a Belgian yeast quality. Palate - body is medium, texture silky, carbonation is average, the palate surprisingly abrupt with just a bit of roast.
