Pale straw colour with a thin white head. The aroma is lovely - soft and spicy with a lean malt dryness. A bit of peppery character and a bit of light fruitiness. Zesty and a bit flinty. Nice and dry with some lingering bitterness.

This beer pours a faint straw color, hazed and with plenty of bubbles that want up. A good head of loose white bubbles that fell to a thin layer on top and a ring. Nose is spicy with a bit of yeasty funk and has plenty of lemon citrus. Very faint apple. A lightly sweet grain malt and grassy herbal. The taste is earthy and and peppery. It has a sheeting dryness in the middle of the beer. Palate cleansing, refreshing and finishes with a sharp bitter and a reminder of the faint fruits. Peppercorns and spice . There is a light lemon peel but the beer never gets too fruity sweet. Grassy and herbal. Has a touch of sour or astringency on it .

I liked this but I thought it drank a lot like seltzer and was lacking in a bright fruit flavor to really bring it home. It finishes completely and leaves hardly any aftertaste.

Awesome aromas of hay and a little but of funk. The taste is very crisp with a lemony zing to it and great thirst quenching carbonation. Finishes very clean and makes you want to swig again. Awesome fresh summer beer.

Light gold with brilliant clarity, until the bottom of the can enters the glass, then it gets that yeasty haze. Big persistent foamy white head. Smells lovely with lemon rind, hay, tangerine sweetness, pilsner malts, and a certain hoppy dustiness thats also just a wee touch resiny. Semi-full flavored with a bright grainy sweetness on the front, a touch of toast, some lemon zest, a bit of tropical resin and sweetness, finishing on a semi-dry hay and barn note. Fast finish. Like a cross between a modern saison and a good quality lager.

Normal sized fucken can @ home, picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours a murky yellow appearance with a lasting white head. Dusty pils malty, lemon, black pepper, a bit doughy, pear aroma. Dry grainy pilsner malty, grassy, rustic, slightly fruity, earthy flavor. Real basic but well crafted, dry, and super clean. @tame shelfie [email protected]

Hazy pale yellow with a giant white head that sticks around for ever. So fizzy it looks like the bubbles are constantly refueling the head. Aromas are very Belgian yeast with earthy and fruity notes, but with some odd cheap lager too. Flavor is fairly similar, but with stronger earthy flavors and less of that cheap lager smell. Here there is a touch of bitter hops as well. Very interesting beer, I don’t like RB’s ’Specialty Grain’ category but beats me where you’d put it instead. Saison? I’d love to try the brett version of this.

Very impressive lasting head. Aroma is lemon grass. TAste is lemon grass and noble hops. Palate is solid for the abv. Overall a nice low gravity beer when you want a summer citrus type of beer.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2014 [Draft] Hazy golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of toast, honey, corn and grains. Taste of toast, grains, toffee malts, lemon, and lightly bitter. Nice, crisp, and simple.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 9/18/2013. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden straw color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, bread, light bubblegum, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, bread, light bubblegum, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Light earthy/bready tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, bread, light bubblegum, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; with good robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very nice saison. All around good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
