12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 9/18/2013. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy golden straw color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, bread, light bubblegum, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon zest, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, bread, light bubblegum, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Light earthy/bready tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, herbal, floral, grass, wheat, cracker, bread, light bubblegum, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; with good robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very nice saison. All around good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, earthy hops, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering. shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - JUN 6, 2014
Can. Good stuff. Lychee, lemony hops, white pepper. Taste is fruity, tropical fruit, lychee again, light cream cheese, peach and mango. Bit sharp in a good way. Very nice.

Can pour. Pours a hazy yellow with a cloudy white head to it. Fruity aroma. Flavor is light citrus fruit flavors with a little pepper spice to it. Fruit and spice flavor finish. Solid beer overall. Enjoyed this one. fishonmyplane (505) - Newington, Connecticut, USA - JUL 22, 2014
On draft at Eli Cannons in Middletown CT. They had it listed as a saison, and it sure tastes that way to me due to the yeasty, peppery flavor. Lots of citrus as well - great flavor. Sessionable and refreshing. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - OCT 23, 2014

4 oz pour on draft at Spacebar. Hazy straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of herbs, citrus peel and zest, light spice. Tastes of citrus fruit and peel, herbs, light spices, black pepper. Medium body with a dry finish. Very nice. Rustyham (1836) - St. Petersburg, Florida, USA - JAN 21, 2015
Very old world, dry and bitter flavor. Floral and old-world tasting, but still very light and simple. Quite good. Very deep but not heavy at all. Mr_Abner (386) - Michigan, USA - FEB 17, 2015
Can (canned August 2013). Pours a hazy pale yellow with a huge head that settles down fairly quickly. Aromas of bread dough, peppery saison yeast, lemon. Taste is similar: lemon, light peppery yeast. Bright. Well balanced. Light bodied and soft with a dry finish. Very nice. thornecb (6022) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - APR 6, 2015
Pours pale yellow into a snifter. White head quickly recedes to skim surface. Yeast, bread and citrus aromas. Medium to sharp with sweet citrus and pepper front to back. ClarkVV (6839) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 7, 2015
Cans drunk 2014 and onwards, most recently 7/5/15 at Brava
Clear, light golden colored liquid is quite bubbly, producing a large white head that slowly recedes to cover.
Dry, citric and stone fruit-like hoppiness in the nose also allows some room for light pils malt suggestions of honey and light dough. Yeasty (basement, cobwebs, plaster, that sort of thing) notes abound with warming but give depth and Belgian character to the crisp, dry finish. Perhaps a touch of light resin, but it certainly wasn’t problematic for me and the cleanliness was very surprising. No alcohol or flaws.
Bitter, very well-hopped citra-like hoppiness gives off tart, bitter lemons, limes and grapefruit skins. It is balanced by lightly sweet, but well-attenuated pils malts. Crackery, nearly-astringent flavors (rice?) mix with the bitter, borderline resinous hop assault on the finish to keep the beer extremely crisp and snappy. Despite all of the talk of big hops, resin and bitterness, it goes down very easily. Carbonation is high, texture is lightly watery and very drinkable. Quite delicious and if not as accomplished as Premium, maybe a bit more of a mindless crusher, which is great in its own right.
