Tepid red-brown. Nose is really nice Flemish, full run from softest balsamic, spiced cake, chocolate, lightest bit of acetic that adds a touch to the brightness. Flavor has a thin lemon on the front, moderate chocolate and cherry, bit of acid in finish to tingle, lightest carbonation leading to a creamy yeast finish, very light. Beautiful beer, so much balance, the nose a perfect flemish profile, the flavor not exactly parallel but both enjoyable. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 21, 2011
Cask, Max’s Belgian Fest 2011. No carbonation atop muddy brown body. Aroma is medium sweet, sour/cherry, some wood. Taste is moderately sweet, cherry, some wood, light chocolate. Medium body, some acidity. EricE (1367) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 20, 2011
Another fantastic Stillwater beer. Opaque brown pour. Aroma has a lot of bourbon with sour fruity and apple. Intense apple cider flavor. Very tart and funky. Earthy with a touch of butter. ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - FEB 19, 2011
Sugary and tart cherry nose, light plum, just a touch of roast. Light to meditate sweetness, light toffee, truck loads of tart cherry, rather acidic, louts of lemon rind. Finish is ultra dry, with a lasting sourness.
