Mon petit plaisir. onceblind (9404) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 10, 2014
Deep black pour with a thin lacey light tan head. Absolutely wonderful nose with notes of creamy milk chocolate, a kiss of Kahlua, a wisp of smoke, some gentle coffee notes and a earthy bit of nougat. Wonderful flavor full of roast, sweet chocolate, a kiss of smokey coffee, and a little bit of belgian yeast featuring a light kiss of stone fruit and high alcohol esters. If the flavor itself were slightly less boozy this would have been unimpeachable.. MarkSachon (1010) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 13, 2017
12 oz bottle from Liberty Beer in Pittsburgh. A bit heavy at times but never bitter or sour. Super in every way. GODiSSOUTHERN (390) - Virginia, USA - FEB 19, 2011
This was my favorite cask tasting at the festival. Great fruity taste and a nice complex aroma. This one had a nice consistent head where as the cocoa nibs version did not b/c of the cocoa. jeff789 (1408) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 5, 2011

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Pours black with a mid-sized, creamy, cappuccino head that never completely disappears. The aromatics are super chocolaty with toasted nuts and a glob of caramel. Full-bodied and silky with tingly carbonation. Sweet, milk chocolaty flavor with a nice note of vanilla and a splash of medium sherry. Finishes smooth, roasty and bittersweet. Bottle courtesy of ygtbsm94. Hoping for a speedy recovery for you, Brad! thehoplocal (11) - Sykesville, Maryland, USA - MAR 28, 2012
So complex. Dark fruit, smoke, dark chocolate, coffee, earth. Very very nice. malrubius (2857) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - MAR 30, 2012
Dark dark brown with lasting dense head and lace. Wood earthy licorice yesterday’s campfire aroma. Rich bitter tree bark (yes, I’ve tasted it) coffee earth ash smoke with bitter yeasty wood smoke and old pine finish. Immediately reminded me of Adam. And that’s FUCKING AWESOME. ronaldtheriot (1918) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - SEP 16, 2014
Stillwater Folklore has a thin, beige head, a dark brown (essentially black) appearance, and not really any lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, dark-roasted malt, black cherry, dark chocolate, and char. Taste is of dark-roasted, charred malt, black cherry, a touch of licorice, bitterness from the char, prunes, and dark chocolate. Mouthfeel is medium, not heavy, as one might expect. Stillwater Folklore finishes semi-dry, rich, and surprisingly smooth. No real alcohol pick up with this one. RJT mkel07 (5833) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - DEC 3, 2014
Bottle from Wine Emporium 031214. One of the best stouts that I have had in a long time. Super dark and super tasty. Fills the nose with rich and slightly bitter aromas. Full n the mouth with an aftertaste that goes on and on. A beer to savour.
