COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For the first edition of the Stillwater Import Series I traveled to the village of Beerzel, located in the Antwerp province of Belgium. Here I teamed up with brewmaster Jef Goetelen to craft an authentic Belgian version of my liquid interpretation of the Spring season. A recipe originally contrived a few years prior as a collaboration brew with my good friend Paul Kretzer. The base is German barley & wheat, with a touch of Belgian aromatic; accented with grassy hops and an array of spring botanicals (heather, chamomile, lavender, & dandelion). Like a fresh meadow in spring. (now currently brewed at Two Roads in CT)

copper color tan frothy head, cloudy. carbonation very low, would like a bit more in this style. Herbal spicey, mulled cider stuff going on. Not a huge fan.

Color dorado anaranjado, turbio, con capa de espuma de un blanco puro de tres dedos de grosor (muy buena retención). Carbonatación a tope. Textura efervescente.

Classic Belgian saison. Full bodied and flavorful. Not strong or very tangy. A bit sweet and citrusy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dough. Earth. Fruit. Banana. Hazy yellow gold. Milky foamy white headthat quickly recedes to a layer of dense foam that stays forever. Thick mouthfeel. Earthy. Herbs and spice. Clove and banana. Kind of like a weak Tripel.

355ml bottle pours a hazy golden orange color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is floral with some light fruits, grass and mild spices. Taste is a light fruity and malty sweetness with a grassy, spicy hop bitterness. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a well crafted brew that suits the style well. Recommended.

Herbs, yeast, raspberry and citrus on the nose. The taste is quite similar. Decent bitterness which fills the upper part of the mouth to a weak moment. This beer you could drink but was not so good. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
