Sparkling, very talkative, clear medium yellow orange colour with a large, open and frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramlel, fruity, light to moderate hoppy, moderate yeasty. Initial flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter, finish flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, fruity, bread, yeasty, spicy, citrus. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Medium to bigger sized white foamy head. Thick with a part that’s airy underneath. A murky orange colored beer.
Aromas of hops, citrus, plant extracts, yeast, malts, oatmeal, flowers and grapefruit.
Flavours of hops, bitters, floral tones, yeast, light citrus, light grassy, creamy, flowers, some sprinkles of peach and grapefruit some herbs and more floral tones!
Aftertaste is a mix of floral tones, bitter and hopgrass.
Low carbo, soft creamy foamy mouthfeel, good medium body and a full creamy texture.
Very nice beer, good floral hoppy but with just a bit too much foam as mouthfeel and texture. Palme (4811) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 5, 2013
0.33l bottle from Etré. This is a deep honey-orange colored one absolutely packed with floaters and small sediments, and it also has a really big and somewhat lasting off-white top. Lovely fruity on the aroma with a whole bunch of tropical fruits. Pineapple, passion fruit, peaches and dragon fruit with a sweet light candied sugar thing balancing them all. This is how I’d like my hand soap to smell. Why cant they just make hand soap that smalls like this? It’s quite lively on the carbonation this, and in the taste it’s quite "Belgian". More sweetness than I had imagined with light candied sugar, ripe mango, a clear sharp alcohol taste with some phenol in the after-domes. It’s actually perhaps a bit to ripe on the fruits for my liking this. Herbal teal-like bitterness in the finish. 12.01.2012 bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - FEB 11, 2013
(330ml bottle) Pours a hazy golden body with a medium rocky off-white head. Aroma of mustiness, yeast, mold, herbs, and earthiness. Flavor of yeast, herbs, earth, subtle fruit, and grass with a dry finish. MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - JAN 31, 2013
(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a blond and huge foamy head. Yeast-spicy cara-malty and fruity aroma with notes of citrus and resin. Moderately sweet flavour, quite full bodied with a lively, almost a bit sharp carbonation. Biscuity malty taste with notes of caramel, accompanied by citric and resiny hops; dry-ish bitter-sweet finish with balanced malty and hoppy flavours, but also with a little fizz. All in all a pleasant Tripel. 19.I.13 probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 25, 2013
11.2 FL OZ bottle via Lubiere (merci!), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.
App.: Hazy golden with floaties and a large off-white head.
Aroma: Oxidation, alcohol, a fair bit of yeast, vague, light fruitiness, sweet pome fruits, some bright citrus notes, butterscotch, not nice...old bottle?
Palate: Medium+ body, sorta flaccid effervescence.
Flav.: Plenty of oxidation, like drinking a watery Sherry, some yeast, still fairly buttery and fruity, no hop notes to be found; sweet with sufficient bitterness and a touch of brightness, with a not terrible citrus finish.
Old age is the suspected culprit.
