COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark chestnut colored ale with a nice steady off-white head. Aroma is all about finesse, loads of blossoms and spring flowers. The mouth-feel is refined, playful and complex with Saison-like peppery flavors. Soft nutty after taste with a bite."

Darkbrown cloudy beer, beige creamy dense head, very stable and adhesive. Aroma: very intense and complex! There’s caramel, dried fruits, liquorice, overripe strawberries, citrussy hops, alcohol, pineapple, lots of stuff. MF: ok carbon, full body. Taste: liquorice and spices, sweet caramel, mocha, pineapples (the hops), ripe fruits, alcohol present in the back of the throat but still very well hidden. Ripe banana’s, nutty, chocolate. It just won’t stop. Aftertaste: sour berries, gentle hops, milk chocolate and sweet pineapple. This is really amazing beer. And of course it’s all sold out now. :(

Ho- boy, is this a beer, or what! Let it warm up to temp out of fridge and then poured with grand, light tan, sudsy, foamy, frothy, fluffy head and lots of clingy lace. Color is a cloudy dark brown amber. Aroma is amazing: I kept getting different things each time I took a whiff - black pepper, pot, caramel malt, toffee, dates but not raisins, hops, rich black earth, bacon. Flavor has a lot more sweetness and suggestions of the nose characteristics and kept in check by the soft, but still there carbonation. Body is full and luscious. Finish is like flavor with notable alcohol warmth. Definitely a sipper. Very well done.

Bottle at First German Ratebeer gathering at Idar Oberstein courtesy of Travlr. Chocolate malt and pine aroma. Cloudy brown color with moderate head. Sweet chocolate toffee malt and moderately bitter pine hops flavor. Excellent blending. Spectacular.

a new beer , not by , but with struise i had at home. pours very dark red / brown , white foam ( very fine bubbles) . smell is complex, but not overwhelming. i get that earthy character, and some sourness like a FOB taste is WAAW reminds me at the old struise. look, struise is my favourite brewerie, still. but the last things all taste the same ( bourbon, sweet, strong) . this is again a waaw-feeling i had when i first drank pannepot and such . THIS IS GREAT i get earthy, FOB- character, szeetness like the pannepot froml struise has, maybe a hint to much carbo , but thats also next to perfection. this is what i would think earthnun would taste like. i dont like this, i LOVE this ! but next to this all, this aint no struise brew its all stillwater, who i only know from outblack colab with struise, i did not like that one... maybe, just maybe, they’re kindof the opposite of what i thought they were. laybe, just maybe, stillwatter is a VERY nice brewerie! hands down, the biggest surprise in months !

Bottle. Deep brown beer with a little bit of orangey highlights as well. Thin off-white head. The nose is a little bit spicy and fairly fruity. Lots of dates and dried fruit and raisin in addition to a soft, treacly rummy flavour. A little bit of clove and soft toasted nut/malt flavour. Really chewy and fruity with a nice ginger and white pepper character along with a little bit of corianderish spice. Some blackberry and a bit of molasses and burnt sugar character. It has a lot of soft herbal character up front with a touch of spicy alcohol on the finish. It’s got some similarities to Pannepot but it’s it’s own beast. Warming brings up some nice spicy character with a lighter sort of pepper and nutmeg character. Really lovely brew.

From bottle at ACBF 2011. Dark brown in the glass, small head. Aroma of malt and chocolate. Starts mild-malty, nice caramel notes, modest sweet. Alcohol is well hidden. Finish well balanced, still light notes of chocolate. Very good beer!

Hazy brown color with a small, creamy, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruits, spices, clove, banana, a bit of cocoa, and light alcohol. Taste of spices, caramel malts, cocoa, clove, nuts, banana, bread, and light alcohol in the finish.
