Tap @ Dronning Louise, 8.5%. Black with small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and brett. Flavour is roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, coffee, brett, medium dry, little sour and a little wood.

Tap @ Dronning Louise. Black with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, brett and red wine. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 271012

50cl bottle, BB 2016, cheers David for the bottle. Brune foncée, col léger moka laissant un léger filament huileux sur le verre. Arôme est malté moyen avec cette pointe de barrique-chêne et un bouquet de brett léger se mariant parfaitement au côté malté. Ce dernier tire vers le caramel et grillé De fines effluves de vin rouge et fruits sont à noter, le tout est très bien en balance. Palais est agréable et ici le brett tout comme le vin rouge, barrique et malt sont en belle harmonie sans que aucuns ne prennent le dessus. Malt est dans le style grillé/caramel pour un fini assez sec de vin rouge et fruité arrivent en retrait et sont complétés par le brett qui vient donner une pointe d’aigreur-funk subtile à la douceur du vin rouge. Le boisé complète le tout avec une pointe d’épice. Le tout reste léger malgré les 8.5% facile à boire et bien complexe. Je ne sais pas ce qu’il se passe chez Mikkeller mais ces qcq dernières bières BA m’ont très bien plu ce qui n’était pas trop le cas auparavant.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a deep dark brown with a reddish hue and a rough, beige head. Thick Brett aroma, quite some barnyard - and very little roast. Medium body, tart and woody with great Brett accents. Very little Stout character left, but quite a wonderful beer. 110113

Bottle. Black with a decent tan head. Massive brett aroma, dusty lemon sherbet not a lot else coming through, perhaps some cherry and a hint of chocolate. Similar taste, lemony brett, hint of roastiness. Slithly sweet with a lightly sour finish.

Pours a black colour with a small white head. Aroma is strong with red wine notes, oak and dark chocolate. Flavour is very rich and big with roasted malts, red wine, tangy citrus, oak, cherries, dark chocolate, berries and tannine. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and a long, vinous, quite complex finish. For a stout this is quite unique.

Draft at Torst shared with RB gang. Pours black with small head. Aroma is both sour and tart with some roasted notes. Taste is more sour than stout with noticable notes of red wine tannins and some coffee and chocolate. Really enjoyable.

Bottle, probably at Ølbutikken Zwanze Day 2012. Pours black with a beige head. Sweet and quite dry. Aromas of toasted matls and wine. Aslo aromas of brett and hints of raisins, soy sauce and tobacco. Medium to full bodied. Soft carbonation. Long bitter finish with residual sugars.

If this one wasn’t super premium priced I’d be buying a bit of this one. Pours dark brown that is a bit reddish with a soapy tan head. The aroma has cocoa, roasty malt, lots of red wine barrel aspects, quite vineous, spice, cream and ice cream malt. It has a medium / full body that still has a crisp feel with light sharp carbonation on the finish. The flavor starts with well blended flavors of roasted malt, red win and buggy Belgian yeast. Quite beautiful how they meld. There is also some light oak and spice. Beautiful wine traits on the finish that shows mineral earthiness and dark berry fruits. There is also beer aspects of dark caramel and bugginess from the brett. Excellent foreign stout, quite possibly the best I’ve had.
