On tap at CBC 2012. Pours black with a big beige head. Quite sweet and bitter with hoppy aromas of pine with hints of resin. Also aromas of burnt and toasted malts. Light alcohol notes. Full bodied. Lively carbonation. Dry finish. mkel07 (5949) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 15, 2014
On tap at Archive Beer Boutique September 2013. Pretty funky and complex beer this one with a big hit of alcohol in the finish. vyvvy (6460) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - APR 5, 2014
Pours dark brown with a really large bubbly tan head with some retention. The aroma has milk duds, cocoa, caramel, vanilla, and earthy / funky yeast. Medium / full body that’s on the smooth side and has lots of unobtrusive carbonation. The flavor starts off initially with the cocoa aspect, but that is quickly swept away with dark berries, roast, apples, butterscotch, light char and spices. The finish has lingering cocoa, spruce and berries. Not sure what this was like fresh (aged bottle here), but it has turned into something that is quite interesting. Certainly can’t tell it is 8.5% and has lot of strange flavors that seem to work together at this point. hopscotch (11078) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 30, 2013
Bottle... This beer rocks!… Dark brown pour with a small, creamy, khaki head. Good retention. The bouquet is a malty assortment of milk chocolate, toasted nuts and almond extract - lovely. Full-bodied with zippy carbonation. The flavor presents fudge, bitter dark chocolate, toasted nuts and loads of deeply-roasted malts. Finishes crisp, roasty and bittersweet. Thanks goes out to biggsbowler for providing this world class bottle of beer! Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - DEC 5, 2013
Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma has some roasted malt notes and not too much else. The flavor is similar with some strong roasted malt and chocolate notes. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

(500ml bottle) Pours a black body with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, citrus, and caramel. Flavor of caramel, citrus, chocolate, brett, grass, and light roasted grain with a dry, bitter finish. marcus (10222) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Bottle from Beer Revolution. Pours dark brown with a huge tan head and a fruit and treacle aroma. There is a dark molasses and plum flavor with a slightly sour finish. brystmar (1314) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 2, 2013
Beady lace everywhere, brown body. Roasty, smokey, a little watery. Kinda good, kinda not. Standard Mikkeller (and Stillwater too, honestly). bhensonb (15188) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 22, 2013
Bottle from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours very dark brown/black with ruddy glints and a creamy/foamy dark tan head. Aroma is sweat sox, darkish fruit, darkish malt. Suggestions of prune. Med body. Flavor is chocolate, darkish burnt malt, and a very minimal brett flavor. Might not realize brett, it’s so restrained. However the drink is a good one. Finishes balanced - nearly dry. The malt is maybe a little towards treacle. StevieT (2011) - AUSTRALIA - SEP 22, 2013
A sweet and sour taste, quite unusual. A very distinct flavour of fruit, try it if you get a chance.
