Bottle to pint glass
Apricot, lemon, candy floss, resin, pine, and farmhouse yeast. Clear, slightly hazy amber with a long lasting, but thin frothy off white head. Taste right off is fruity but then the bitter blast comes which lasts and lasts. solidfunk (8838) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - FEB 26, 2014
Nice. Bretta and hay with some hops. Pours cloudy orange with great head and lacing. Finishes with light, lemony sourness and a touch of peppar. Bretta brilliantly balanced. Bottle thanks to JT. Nice citrus all around. Great collab between two great breweries. maniac (3800) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 1, 2014
Bottle at the 14th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering on 03/19/2011 from River City Cellars. Hazy orange body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet grapefruit and citrus hop aroma with some caramel. Big citrus and grapefruit flavor, some caramel and fruit. Medium body with moderately high carbonation.

Bottle. Moderate hay and cereal for the malt, dried grass and lemon for the hops, barnyard and earth for the yeast, with wood, pepper and a hint of clove in the background. Head is large, fizzy/frothy. light beige with darker swirls, with good lacing and is fully lasting. Color is murky, medium amber/orange. Flavor starts faintly sweet and lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly to moderately acidic and lightly bitter. Palate is medium, watery with a fizzy carbonation and finishes a bit dry. Not as bitey a flavor as I expected, and very smooth. This Belgian Strong Ale from the first pour to the sedimentary last pour. jbeatty (1247) - New York, USA - SEP 19, 2013
Review from backlog, tasted 06/23/2011. Pours opaque, dark orange with huge off-white head, settling into a nice frothy layer with lacing all around. Aroma is yeast, herbal hops which blend into a more piney character, followed by sweet, citric fruits, oranges and lemons. Taste is orange, spices, some farmhouse character, bitter herbal hops and lemon rind, long bitter finish. Body has excessive carbonation, too prickly and rough. Decent. coolpop (1394) - Birmingham, Alabama, USA - SEP 18, 2013
Bomber. Poured clear golden with a large white head. Aroma and flavor -- lot going on -- dry, moderately bitter, grassy, herbal, earthy, musty, mildly funky, citrus, spicy, a bit peppery. Quite good. Slightly thick mouthfeel. Lonick (1864) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 11, 2013
Bread, with a kick nutmeg. I could go on about this beer for ages but i think a superb, simple would be enough but why not wax a little lyrical about a beer as good as this. So hoppy you would think that you could eat it, so yeasty that you imagine it could be sliced. Keep up the great work. pras (602) - Maryland, USA - AUG 31, 2013
Good, not great. I was expecting more. Flavor was pretty nondescript. Some malt character, some bitterness. Perhaps this one was better fresh. Oh well.
