12 ounce can into tulip glass; no can dating, but is a recent release. Pours slightly hazy ruby reddish orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/tangy red grapes, cherry, plum, raisin, fig, berry, lemon, green apple, white wine, oak, hay, grass, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, pepper, lacto funk, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, red grapes, oak, and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy red grapes, cherry, plum, raisin, fig, berry, lemon, green apple, white wine, oak, hay, grass, caramel, brown sugar, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of oaken vanilla, pepper, lacto funk, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy red grapes, cherry, dark fruit, berry, lemon, green apple, white wine, oak, hay, grass, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light funk/pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, red grapes, oak, and dark/bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and tangy fruit balance; with zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, fairly acidic, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is an awesome fruited sour ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, red grapes, oak, and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish, never overly lactic. Definitely a kettle sour, but it has great complexity. Great balance between fruity Lacto, grapes, oak, and dark/bready malts. More of a sour red. A really enjoyable offering. Delicious wild ale. Complex and refreshing. Aroma was good. Sour with grape, funk and oak. Pour was a beautiful hazy dark red with no bubbles or head. Taste was sour grapes and funk with a tart cherry and and musty presence. The oak and sour grapes came out more as it warmed and ended with a nice sour finish. Good medium but biting carbonation jinroh (2571) - ESTONIA - AUG 27, 2017
Pours red with some pink foam. Nice refreshing red currant nose, looks the same by the way. Some sweet sourness there. Taste has a bit off acidity but not too much. Light smoke there, wine coming through as well. Very drinkable and works really well for summer evening. TimE (6349) - Tokyo, JAPAN - JUL 26, 2017
eep purple brown color. Really nice Pinot character with a touch of wood. Sour and comes off more like carbonated grape juice. Really interesting. Not to everyone’s taste, but I like williamstome (2059) - Denver, Colorado, USA - APR 27, 2017
Plum pour, small white head. Aroma of raspberries and cherries. Taste follows with cabernet and woody notes.

22, capped. Pours a clear but very dark rubied near-mahogany. Bright tangy nose, somewhere between sweet blackberries and pie cherries. Creamy medium body with moderate carb. Berry cherry notes on the palate over some sweetened cereal, oak showing. Beautifully blended. Long tangy finish. Grapes fade as it warms. Quite a beer. brokensail (16696) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 29, 2017
On tap @ Crafty Fox. Deep red pour with a short-lived pinkish-white head. This beer is nicely tart but not crazy acidic or anything like that, thankfully. Has plenty of vinous, wine/grape qualities. It’s quite heavy on the earthy, mushroomy, musty funk as well. Get a good bit of damp wood, maybe a touch of vanilla, butterscotch, and currant sweetness. Actually a slight earthy bitterness along with some lemon peel. Was nice to try. beastiefan2k (4230) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - JAN 15, 2017
Draft at OLAR. One heck of a sticky lacing. Red glowing color. Tart earthy cherries aroma, a little perfume rose cherries. Flavor is just tart at the end. Lightly drying finish and tingly mouthfeel. Fun tart fruit beer. luttonm (7077) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 12, 2017
Big Wood 2016, Brouwer’s, Seattle. Creamy reddish head, gorgeous smooth red body. Vinous fruit aroma. Cherry cough drop. Nice spicy carbonation. Smooth, round barrel. Modest clean cherry sour flavor. Balanced, really nice. UDBeernut (2883) - Saint Johns, Florida, USA - DEC 29, 2016
