Plum pour, small white head. Aroma of raspberries and cherries. Taste follows with cabernet and woody notes. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - APR 7, 2017
22, capped. Pours a clear but very dark rubied near-mahogany. Bright tangy nose, somewhere between sweet blackberries and pie cherries. Creamy medium body with moderate carb. Berry cherry notes on the palate over some sweetened cereal, oak showing. Beautifully blended. Long tangy finish. Grapes fade as it warms. Quite a beer. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 29, 2017
On tap @ Crafty Fox. Deep red pour with a short-lived pinkish-white head. This beer is nicely tart but not crazy acidic or anything like that, thankfully. Has plenty of vinous, wine/grape qualities. It’s quite heavy on the earthy, mushroomy, musty funk as well. Get a good bit of damp wood, maybe a touch of vanilla, butterscotch, and currant sweetness. Actually a slight earthy bitterness along with some lemon peel. Was nice to try. beastiefan2k (3981) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - JAN 15, 2017
Draft at OLAR. One heck of a sticky lacing. Red glowing color. Tart earthy cherries aroma, a little perfume rose cherries. Flavor is just tart at the end. Lightly drying finish and tingly mouthfeel. Fun tart fruit beer. luttonm (6274) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 12, 2017
Big Wood 2016, Brouwer’s, Seattle. Creamy reddish head, gorgeous smooth red body. Vinous fruit aroma. Cherry cough drop. Nice spicy carbonation. Smooth, round barrel. Modest clean cherry sour flavor. Balanced, really nice.

Brownish and purpleish. fizzy head fades fast. light oak, grape juice, light yeast, raisin. mild tartness. acidic finish deap in the chest cavity. the heartburn is implied. nimbleprop (8382) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - DEC 29, 2016
7oz pour at Anxo, pours a watery rootbeer brown, with some soapy white head. Hard to tell if there was a dark beer base or if it picked up the purpleish color from contact with the grapes. Nose is cool, a little black tea, some malt, fresh grapes, a little neutral wood. Flavor has a little cream soda, a little watery tea, some fresh grape juice, woody, light yeast, some raisin juice. Finishes dry, lightly tannic. thepatrickman (1347) - Jevington, East Sussex, ENGLAND - DEC 16, 2016
On draft. A big, "New World" take on "Old World" sour brown ales. This is quite tart and it has a big flavor profile. The pinot noir grapes add a great reddish color, but also a dry tannin finish that tempers the sour and accentuates the flavors. ametras (1628) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 16, 2016
22oz bottle. Cloudy burgundy with a foamy white head. Flavors are bread, grapes, berries, oak, butterscotch and lemon with fruity and vinous notes. Medium body, moderate to good carbonation, smooth texture. wlajwl (6812) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - DEC 8, 2016
Aroma is fruit, funk and slightly odd/thick sweetness. The flavor is fruit/berries, grapes, malts and a mix of strong tartness and slightly sweet in the finish.
