750ml bottle. Pours a hazy, medium straw, with a firm white head. Spicy aromas, yeast, hops, straw, citrus, earth, faintly funky, dried apples, apricot. Off-dry, medium body and bitterness, lively CO2. Spicy taste, quite hoppy, earthy yeast notes, alcohol burns through a little too clearly, otherwise nicely balanced. (2012-03-01)

My favorite Saison by far. Aroma is a bit of citrus with floral and spices. Pours orange/golden with a decent sized head, but low on the lacing. Nice bready malts and barnyard funk but mixed in with some sweetness as well. Smooth mouthfeel. Wish it came in sixers.

Appearance was clear golden with huge 3 finger diminishing fizzy head and no lacing. Aromas where all sweetness citrusy fruits and the funky floral yeasts, many things going on here, hopefully taste as good as it smells.Taste where sweet citrusy herbal hops with orangish sweet and sour yeasts, no aclohol present.Mouthfeel was smooth with spirtzy carbonation and meduim body with average length dryish finish. Yes Barynard Funk...

Enjoyed this in a pint glass at Three Penny Taproom. Paid $7 for this.

A - 2 finger head totally clear with nice big bubbles. Yellow with a mix of clouds

S - Honey, yeast, lemon, melons and some sort of sugar syrup. Very great smell. Fresh and floral

T - Toffee, honey, milk cream and simple syrup. Overall, it was big and floral but there’s some spice I couldn’t figure out.

M - On a swish, half bubbles, half liquid.

O - Very drinkable, delicious, A+

Sharp and zesty floral hop aroma. Cloud yellow color with a large white head. Light sweet and bitter beginning with a lasting sweet finish. Thick palate.

(750 ml from Oak Street Provisions) Bottle gushed after opening. Pours cloudy apricot-amber with a soft one finger of white head that recedes to a lasting layer. Aroma of caramel, bread and pepper. Mouthfeel soft, light but full. Flavor of caramel and pepper with some breadiness. Lightly hot with a warming finish. A little softer and more subtle than some of the heavy-duty saisons I’ve come across lately.

UPDATED: APR 21, 2014 From the 2/2012 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a hazy apricot color with a medium sized creamy off white head that lingered and left some lacing. The aroma was yeasty and a bit funky with notes of clove, pear and a bit boozy. The flavor was tart orange, pear, bread and clove with light undertones of funk and bubblegum. The finish turned a bit dry and boozy but had lingering fruits. Medium body. Nice.

Draft. Poured an entirely cloudy yellow-orange color with a small, but solid white head. Aroma was orange, with notes of spice. Flavor was pretty enjoyable - orange and lemon peel, orange, clove, spice. Enjoyed.

Will pour (without trying) a five+ finger thick cream head that takes forever to fade, leaving a good lace. Hazy amber color, some yeast left in bottle. Strong carbonation and medium bodied. Light fruit and hay nose, flavor is light sweet citrus, some yeast, ABV is hidden. Decent saison, not sour like a lot of them. (gift) 750ml bottle from Madden Beverage Saco, Me.
