Bottled at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Hazy deep golden, faint head. Honey and herbs up front. Mid sweet with low carbonation. Soft and pleasant with buttery creamy malt and mild notes of banana. Light spicy bitterness. More solid and pleasant than elegant.

Cloudy golden with a lasting white head. Aroma of (tropical) fruit, spice and phenols. Fruity and spicy flavour, especially with some pepper. Somewhat yeasty and muddy impression.

Bottle shared by phaleslu at dld soon after Canihavefourbeers grand entrance. Pleasant, herbal, grassy hops balanced by a melon fruit, pepper, earthy funk combo. Dry. Rustic. Refreshing. Good beer.

pours a hazy yellow color. not bad but of the three sampled at Library Alehouse this is the least favored. again smooth without the spice profile that I am looking for.

Lushawn asked that I pick out a beer, thanks Shawn! Pours a golden color with a huge white head and good lace. The aroma is apricot with a nice dosing of earthy hoppiness. The bouquet displays a restrained funkiness. The beer is dry and fruity with some mild bubble gum and apricot. Spicy flavors and pepperiness are abound and the beer has a nice bready character. Just a very nice Saison all together.

750 ml bottle from Wine and Cheese Place. Pours a light, cloudy yellow-gold color with a big foamy white head. Aroma of bready malts, peppery spice, lemon citrus, farmhouse funk, grass, and straw. The flavor runs a little sweeter than earthy, with notes of lemon citrus, sweet and bready malts, sugar, pears, grass, and pepper. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a dry, funky mouthfee. Very good saison.

Draught @ Cypress Street. Dark orange pour with a small white head. Big fruity, yeast aroma. Some bready malts too. A real delight in the world of Saisons. Flavors were full of big fruits, all of the traditional saison flavors amped up to a fruity, almost hop driven goodness. So drinkable, refreshing. Slightly sweet finish. Well brewed on all counts. A top Saison in my book...

750 ml bottle. Amber with vivid white foam and small, fine bubbles. Lovely detained but spicy aroma that slowly opens up - yeast, wheat, citrus, a little sulfur and basement shaft. Fresh and lively beer. Great mouthfeel, depth of flavor - it is bitter, malty, semi-sweet, tart, herbal and peppery at once. Good American saison.

750mL Bottle. Fluffy light pour. Aroma, cold, is restrained, lightly bready, but with distinct Saison spiciness. Flavors are complex and rich, lots of honey, bread, pale fruits and mediterranean spices. Low on the herbal qualities and not soapy. Palate is explosively carbonated, fluffy, and airy. Nice body. I do feel that the Saison yeast notes get a little sticky, clammy, and almost rubbery, maybe pushed a nip too much. Otherwise, this is a damn fine Saison.

Linnet (1873) - Karlstad, SWEDEN - APR 24, 2011
Yeast, spices, coriander, lemon, wheat, alcohol, earthy hops (nelson sauvin) barnyard, winelike. Hazy orange colour, small white head, thin lid. Full bodied, yeasty, acidic, spices, wheat, lemon, alcohol, earthy hops, peppery, warming finish. Full bodied mouthfeel, small bubbles. Very good American saison!
