Aroma is fruity, spicy, some Belgian hops and some alcohol. Flavor is slightly sour, somewhat hoppy bitter and somewhat chemical. Thick body and lively carbonation. Ok brew.

Bottle: Poured a bright light orangey color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and great lacing. Aroma consists of fruity ester with dry floral notes form the hops with some light funky yeast notes also discernable. Taste is also a nice mix between some funky notes with floral hops and dry aftertaste. I thought the malt bill was great if maybe a tad too sweet for my own taste. Body was full for style with great carbonation and no signs of alcohol. Very well brewed and something I would seek again fro sure.

Pours hazy amber with a nice, lasting white head. Smells of hay, perfumy, citrus, sage, light wheat, crisp. Tastes of dry malt, light pepper, perfumy, grassy, some tea on the finish.

Thanks to JoeMcPhee for the bottle - I have been sitting on this for a while, but I just couldnt wait any longer to try it - very effervescent pour - hazy straw color - moderate head of large, loose bubbles - dusty, earthy, lightly funky aroma - some dry, biscuity maltiness, spicy hops, light phenols, a little bit of tangy citrus way in the back - carbonation is full in the mouth and a wee bit abrasive - quite dry, flinty, with dusty yeast and crackery malts - a slight tangy, wheaty undercurrent throughout - faint earthy character - the spiciness of the New Zealand hops is very pronounced but works well with the dryness - decent all around, but not the home run I was hoping for - a little rough around the edges.

Draught. Pale gold. Some fruits and floral aroma and a bit of a watery consitency. Decent but not spectacular.

Tap @ blue monk. Georgeous copper with a beautiful white pillow head. Nose is beautiful herbal and floral nose. Some light caramel & almost nutty malt, a little lemon. Stellar. Flavor is lemon, amazing floral and herbal. Light caramel malt with fucking amazing yeast. Just so fucking good.

Bottle: pours a gold color with a very large head and plenty of carbonation. The nose is full and fresh with a heavy biscuity malt note, earthy dry yeast and a light noble hop dusting. Balanced flavor with a chewy body and rather lively mouthfeel as well. Seems very belgian in style but its obviously "stateside".

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2010 [3281-20100803] Sample. Mild orange aroma, not a lot going on but not bad. Hazy, light brown orange body with a quick creamy white head. More subdued orange in the flavour that seems like heavy citrus. Thick and full body is bitter throughout. Seems too heavy and cloddy. (5/4/7/3/13) 3.2

[3481B-20101120] Tap. Light apples and plastic aroma. Clear, light brown orange body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Flavour of yeasty apples and a lingering aftertaste. Medium body. Could be lighter and more saisony. (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1
Overheard: "Tastes Belgian pale-aley."

Big huge pour with a ton of bubbles and a massive frothy head. Big sweet yeasty notes on the nose, a ton of spice and banana. Taste was a typical saison, very earthy, but with a ton of carbonation that carries through to the finish. Very drinkable once it settles, as well as complex, picking up some funkiness on the end. Very good, glad i grabbed this from the bottom of the fridge.
