3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted on 10/23/12 from a capped 750mL bottle. Pours hazy but bright orange with a thick off-white head that slowly recedes to thick lace that clings to the side of the glass. The nose is spicy saison yeast with some nice bread and caramel malt, along with floral and grapefruit peel hops. The flavor is a bit more malt forward than expected with the spicy yeast and floral/citrus hops melding together very nicely. The body is medium with very lively, stinging carbonation, and a long citrus hops and spicy yeast finish.
There is a suspension of large sediment particles, but the matrix around them is fairly clear. Nice bretty funky smell. Taste is delicate and bretty, dry yeastiness coats the tongue. Medium body, mildly bitter aftertaste, euro grassy hop, yummy, balanced, and crafty saison. hershiser2 (3701) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - SEP 8, 2017
$2.75 pint can from Wine Warehouse. Pours slight hazy pale gold with a large white head. Aroma immediately upon opening can: very fruity (and very pleasant) including stone fruit juice and citrus peel. Flavor is yeasty fruit, mostly bitter peach, a bit of straw, light barnyard, light gum. This is pretty damn good. BREWMUSKCLES (2744) - New Jersey, USA - SEP 3, 2017

Can for $2.75. Hazy orange yellow pour. Pleasant citrus and stone fruit aroma. Flavor is slightly bitter with citrus, stone fruit, and sugar. Smooth almost silky mouthfeel. ippopotamo36 (2580) - Rome, ITALY - JUL 30, 2017
On tap @Ma Che Siete (Rome). Semi clear golden bright, frothy irregular white foam. Nose: lime, spicy, highlights of esters and a punch of brewing leftovers. Mouth: light body, sweet fruity a bit, inconsistent a bit. Just solid.

Tasty Saison from Stillwater, with a hefty malt center for the style and a dry, well-rounded finish. Grassy and semisweet on the front end, a mild tart undertone backing up notes of straw and clove, a slight buttered vanilla current developing behind the usual saison flavors. Grows floral on the back end, hints of bread lying underneath a firm bitterness. Proper saison nose, cloves and hay and fresh cut flowers, and the pour’s good as well, a slightly hazed gold with a modest head and moderate lace. Texture’s creamy for the style, not quite as effervescent as it should be but still tempting. Solid pint. MarkSachon (1056) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 17, 2017
Tall can from Liberty Beer in Pittsburgh. A bit strong on first impression and over done on sweetness. Has a nice spice bite. ebone1988 (2165) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - JUL 13, 2017

Taste is fruity, bitter, tart, decently hoppy, pine, citrus, malt, slight funk, barnyard, slight spice, good. Mouthfeel is light to medium body, light carbonation, hoppy estery aftertaste. Overall, it’s quite enjoyable. kespecial (255) - - JUL 8, 2017
Pour is light orange, on the darker side for a saison. White head, good lacing. Great apple, apricot, fruity yeasty nose. Very dry, mineral, light on the palate. Minmal to no spice. Good saison, but nothing special. EvanFriend (643) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 23, 2017
Kinda mineraly, peach notes in the middle, bitter finish. Not bad, but not great either. I’m continually unimpressed by Stillwater.
