Surprised to see this clasified as a wheat beer as well. Dark mahogoney color with a fluffy tan head. A really strange aroma - cross between butter and ham. The flavor was surprisingly robust with a big hit of chocolate sweetness with a somehwat sweet finish. Hints of citrus as well.

Wild yeasty aroma with sour profile. I like the fact that this beer has limited carbonation which allows the sour/wild flavors to really come through. However, somthing missing here, perhaps a bit more malt and hops to add a peppery finish would do this beer well.

Damn gusher. But after initial gush, it really seemed to settle down. Cloudy golden color that gets a bit more murky and dark with each subsequent pour. Flowery, pale malt aromas, with a light citrus undertone. The aroma get a bit more yeasty and floury with each pour as well. Quite airy and bubbly in feel (go figure). Light pale malt sweetness with bits of dust and pollen. 12/10

0,33L bottle bought at Craftissimo Hong Kong. Appearance: Pours a hazy golden blonde colour with thin white head that disappears quite quickly. Only leaves some trace as a ring. Aroma: Floral aroma of herbs, lemongrass, some gooseberry and white grape from the NZ and American hops. Also with some bready, yeasty and grassy notes. Taste: Some sweet honey and lemongrass sweetness at first. Later turns into some mild herbal and grassy bitterness with some spiciness, and bread malt flavours. Palate: Medium body with smooth and oily texture. Herbal and grassy bitter aftertaste with some spice and lemongrass. Dry finish with moderate to high carbonation. Overall: A very balanced and harmonious new world saison. There is perfect amount of funkiness and floral aromas to make stands out from the traditional saison. Perfect beer for a quiet summer evening.

Bottle. 6.8%. Best before 11.09.16. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head. Good lacing. Grassy, citruy hop aroma, slightly tart, with a hint of berries and a light yeast note. Much the same flavour, as well as fruity and with a light spicy note. Finish is a bit fat, bordering grainy, with citrus, grass and yeast notes. Mild alcohol burn as it warms. Lingering mild bitterness followed by more grass and a green apple note. Overall good. 08.07.16.
