Tulip glass at WoB Belmar. Great idea for a DIPA. It works so well. It’s exactly Ruination with grapefruit, there is no better way to describe it. After several sips it gets noticeably fruitier with juicy aspects alleviating the noted dryness. Maybe a notch too fruity for it to be more enjoyable than the standard Ruination, but still a great brew. daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - DEC 23, 2013
Bright gold pour, white head. Very hoppy up front but the beer hits with a nice dose of caramel malt as well. Grapefruit peel noticeable. Dank and grassy finish. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - DEC 17, 2013

Avenue Pub. Clear amber color with ivory head. Nice floral, citrus, pale malt aromas. Medium body with average carbonation. Mostly a dry, citrus grapefruit rind flavor with floral hoppage, and a pale malt base. Bone dry bitter finish---good.
Tap at world of beer. The look is golden bright colored, whitish head, and clear. The smell is super grapefruit, hops, more fruit, some cleaning solution, fresh and bright, and citrus. The taste is bitterness, hops, grass, grapefruits, and good. anders37 (26878) - Malmö, SWEDEN - NOV 3, 2013

Sampled at GABF - loved, loved this offering. Despite the line at Stone, I had multiple. Big huge fresh grapefruit nose with some dank. Flavor was sweet candy orange, complemented by the grapefruit zest. Really wonderful and a great addition to an already really good beer. nimbleprop (8723) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - OCT 21, 2013
Sampled at GABF 2013. Pours a gold with some foamy, white head. Nose is bright citrus, grapefruit, pulpy, floral. Flavor is all tangerine and candy. Bitter, fresh, pulpy juice. Full, bitter finish. Interesting. Beardaxe (293) - - OCT 20, 2013
On draft at Freshcraft in Denver during GABF. Ordered it offhandedly and did not expect to be so impressed. So many of these IPA treatments today taste worse than the core IPA because the added flavors are too dominant and obvious and either mess up the balance or outright contradict the flavors of the original brew. This is not that beer. This takes everything wonderful about ruination and deftly adds to and complements it. Using grapefruit zest instead of juice was an inspired idea, as it has such a single, precise flavor that it doesn't mess with the rest of the beer. Instead, it just adds a strong grapefruit bitterness that underwrites everything else. Great stuff.

Multiple pours at GABF. Easily one of my favorite beers this year and the guys at Stone know how to give you a good pour. Appearance is clear golden orange with a big frothy white head and great lacing. The smell is huge grapefruit juice, candied oranges, cedar, a touch of grass, and clean malt - really just amazing grapefruit juice. Taste is again big juicy grapefruit, oranges, candied fruits, lime, citrus notes, and biscuit with a huge bitter finish. Sticky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Literally tastes like fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Awesome! onceblind (10327) - Denver, Colorado, USA - OCT 18, 2013
Clear golden with a thin white cap head. Nose has a ton of bittersweet grapefruit zest with a dank grassy bitterness. Flavor is just as dank but with a zesty sweetness of grapefruit zest fruitiness. Very flavorful and fruity but also hoppy dank and bitter. Wonderful.
