I thought that this was ok for a small producer, it had spark, bite as well as a good colour and head when poured. It tastes something like the "Chopper Heavy" they put out also, but I find the Chopper a better buzz for your buck! madquacker (1155) - Canberra ACT, AUSTRALIA - AUG 10, 2004
Nice hoppy flavour with a bit of bitterness at the end. Had no expectations of this beer and was pleasantly suprised. Bit of saltiness at the end. omhper (25243) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUN 11, 2005
Botled. Golden colour, clear, brief head. Grassy aroma with a whiff of grapefruity hops. Sweet and firmly malty with clean mouthfeel and a fair amount of hops, resulting in an orangey flavour and a pleasantly bitter finish. Nothing spectacular, but a solid, well made lager. bridge (659) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUL 5, 2006
I was expecting something pretty ordinary, but got something pretty decent. A hearty pour gave me a beer with an orange body and a medium sized head that didn’t last or lace much. An initial aroma of lychees (!) was followed by some pineapple and caramel malt. The flavour is quite inert however, with not much bitterness and a bit of sweetness smoothing it out. A medium body, with a good carbonation level. A pleasant surprise, especially considering it’s 10 months past it’s best by date! mullet (849) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - NOV 22, 2003
This stuff ain't so bad. It's pretty boring, but it's clean and nice and far better than the beer it's ripping off (Stella).
Pours with a pretty big, nice head and decent retention. Minus appearance points for biting Stella Artois' label.
Aroma is lightly malty and a bit of grassy hop.
Flavour is quite clean with a fair bit of hop, which tastes like NZ Saaz. It's not brilliant but it's better than a 1.86 beer!

Bottle-Poured a nice thick white head which left some minimal head and lacing. Nice golden colour with a malty hay aroma. Initial taste was sweet & fizzy on the palate but a bit dry in finish I had tasted this beer a couple of years ago and was not impressed but having revisited it today i have changed my opinion. Not a bad effort certainly a different taste to some other aussie lagers. Would have again. amele (20) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - AUG 31, 2013
Not a bad beer but nothing spectacular. Good with a juicy hamburger or pizza.
--- Beer in my belly makes me hoppy. MrRomero (1976) - Nolanville, USA - AUG 31, 2004
Bottle: Pours a light golden yellow with a medium white head. Mildly skunky aroma. A hint of coffee. Mild malt flavor but it has a slight vegetal flavor also. Kind of strange but not bad. highlandlad (1480) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - APR 13, 2005
Above-average Aussie "premium" lager - but the average is depressingly poor. Straw colour, moderate head. Plenty of malt in the aroma. Fruity taste - apples probably - crisp and refreshing. Some bitterness but no real finish, unfortunately. (Bottle) bluevegie (3073) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - OCT 22, 2003
This is more of a pilsener than a lager, it hads a grassy hoppy aroma, a harsh bitterness and a metallic finish. Not good.
