COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a BIG, jet-black beer delivering beautifully rich stout flavours of chocolate, and raisins with a roasty finish. In addition, they’ve added a heap of maple syrup to give a nutty, sweet character.

Bottle at the Good Beer Company, Singapore. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy, very short-lived tan head. The aroma is sweet roasty malt, big sweet maple syrup, aniseed floral, coffee, chocolate, liquorice. The flavour is moderate to strong sweet with a smooth, rich oily sweet roast malt, liquorice hop bitter palate and an oily mouthfeel. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle 330ml. Black with beige, small head. Aroma is rich of chocolate, pralines and of course maple syrup which is really intense. Chocolate in liquid that's what I can say about the taste. Additionally small vanilla hint give us great flavor. Beer is medium to full body, oily, smooth with completely hidden alcohol and each sip give you the pleasure. One thing what I could complain is too big saturation, not a big deal but disturbs a bit.

330 ml bottle from Cellarbrations Hawthorne. Strong maple aroma. Stout is very sweet and is exactly as described, not in a subtle way. Tastes like pancakes in a bottle. Well done, but the novelty wore off by the end of the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Taster @ GABS 2017, Sydney Looks spot on - oily pitch black, dense tan head. Smells like Maccas pancakes! Toasty, doughy, butter, stacks of maple syrup with chocolate, booze, coffee, big, sweet. Delightful.

Pours black, tan head. Nose shows maple syrup, cocoa, heavy roasted malt, toffee, nutty malt. Similar flavours; big maple syrup, lots of roasted malt, a fair bit of sweetness. Some booze but pretty well-hidden.

Growler from Beer Barrel Sydney. Nice to see a Canadian themed beer in Australia. Dark body brown head. Loads is awesome sweet maple aroma (reminiscent of some Flying Monkeys intensity). Taste is sweet cocoa, roast, maple, vanilla. Maybe could be a bit thicker on the palate. But overall a fantastic beer.

Bottle at home in a snifter in front of the footy on a Sunday afternoon. Pour is dark, viscous. Little amber head with no lacing to speak of. Maple syrup covered French toast on the nose - bready, sweet, and decadent. A melbourne brunch in a bottle. Taste is surprisingly a hopped stout up front - the cacao and roast malts hit second, and then all maple and candied, smokey bacon to finish. Smooth, rich mouthfeel with lingering sweetness. Hides the 12% exceptionally well. Lovely warming feeling when finished. An extremely enjoyable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
