Bottled. Nut brown, small head. Light cinnamon aroma. Mid-sweet, medium bodied with clean mouthfeel. Quite roasty with slight notes of aniseed. Growing late bitterness. Flavourful, but on the clean side, fiulijn (21507) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 18, 2009
Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Malmöolsvammel (7312) - Örebro, SWEDEN - DEC 13, 2009
Dark color; mahogany with red hue; creamy head. Very nice aroma, caramel, cookies, light hop, very light cinnamon. Medium bodied, rich caramel flavor, well balanced. Low bitterness from the hops, but some more from the roasted malts. Very good.
Tap at ÖBWF 2009: As far as I could see this beer was pitch black. Also smooth like it’s pale little brother but with the difference that this one was more spicey with some caramell. I think this one was a bit better then the Pale Ale. But they where both a bit to light for my taste. Might be better to try them under better conditions. Draft. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt as well as lighter notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as lighter notes of roasted malt and alcohol, leading to a dry roasted finish. Nice debut. joergen (29598) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 6, 2009

From bottle, thanks to Benny at Stockeboda. Redish brown colour, with low beige head. Slight toast nose from dark malts and un-named spices, maybe pepper or the likes. Bit of diacetyl in flavour along with caramel. Soft buttery, not disturbing though. The bitterness is nicely balanced with the toasty malts. The spices are hard to name but they are there. Solid beer.

From tap at Bishops Arms, Malmø. Pours dark brown with a little orange glare and a small tan head. Roasted and slight breadish aroma. Sweet malty, light roasted, caramelish and vague breadish touch. Lingering roasted and mild sweet finish.
