3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark Brown, Almost Black, Tan Head, Lots Of Lacing. Sweet Chocolate and Toasted Coffee, Light Bitter and Light Creamy at the end. Too thin and could be a little more creamier. Easy to drink. Pretty good, keeping in mind that it is brewed just for a food chain. Just that last piece of information usually does not promise anything good. Well, this is exception. Decent.
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2017 (12oz bottle) AROMA: soft chocolate, oatmeal, celery, black beans, APPEARANCE: dark dark brown, almost black, opaque, dark coffee head, oily, lingers TASTE: coffee, cream, hint of vanilla, moderately bitter chocolate, light cookie dough PALATE: soft, medium body, not ultra rich, a little creaminess, smooth/slick with a touch of lingering bitterness. OVERALL: a good beer but just an average stout, smooth and drinkable, nice coffee/chocoate notes but otherwise a bit simple. Would make a good starter stout for someone juat getting into heavier beers. Soupordean (97) - New Jersey, USA - OCT 28, 2017
It pours a dark brown color with a creamy light brown head. The aroma is a bit acidic with heavy dark malts. A little coffee-like with some buttered toffee and nuts .The flavor is full bodied and very creamy on the palate. Lots of dark malts with heavy roast in the finish. Overall, it has more of a toasted malt profile except for the finish which borders on burnt. I’m not getting the acidity I picked up in the aroma, which is a good thing in my book. A bit of a simplistic beer, but not bad.

Dark black. Foamy tan head. Creamy. Mild chocolate. Not sweet. Really, this is a 3.35? This is a decent, not a 4, but a decent sweet stout. nickel (1241) - UKRAINE - AUG 17, 2017

Taste: mild and balanced roasted malt with caramel, oats and hints of grass.
Creamy body. Great brew
Excellent beer from Trader Joe's. Will definitely buy again, if I can find it. Dark stout. Smooth after taste. Glad it was suggested by a Trader Joe's manager.

From bottle to glass. Creamy roast aroma. Brown with light brown highlights. Taste is roast and cream. Not bad. mrjaxson (624) - .08 Junction, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 4, 2017
Far more lactose-based than oatmeal-based, to me at least, with a thinner-than-expected body and bittersweet chocolate taste. Poured to an uncommonly huge head with a lot of carbonation. Just OK. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - OCT 24, 2016

Pours like oil. SMells like oatmeal and tastes even more so. An oatmeal stout that delivers on its namesake.
