It’s a saison of sorts; hellaciously herbaceous and hopefully contagious. This was not a ready made ale. But it is a ready made collaboration. Meaning Stone and Victory are 2 breweries that are exactly like Dogfish in that they do/brew exactly what they love and they do/brew it exactly like no other brewery out there. (Love - lots of it in this bottle)

Bright orange pour into chalice at the local peasant in Sherman oaks ca. Bright orange hazy pour. Quarter inch white head that settled quickly. Sweet scent, lemon, pepper and rosemary scents. Flavor follows the nose, slightly sour, lemon, hearty spices like pepper and rosemary and thyme. Finish is sour and crisp. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing! The beer starts mild and fresh. Smooth, round and wheaty. The yeast is a bit funky and spicy, pepper, herbs, very dry. Long smooth wheaty dry aftertaste, round and refreshing, interesting! The herbs are there, fresh and round with the spicy yeast in the back. Nice!

12 fl.oz bottle. A clear golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of herbal spices, rosemary, wheat. Taste of herbal spices, pepper, rosemary, bitter spices, wheat and some yeast in the finish. Nice!

Bottle from Biernavigatie. Aroma is very herbal with thyme, sage, grassy, yeast, lemon, green tea, mint, bittering hops, and light biscuity malt. Flavour is light to moderate sweet with a fairly dry medium bitter finish. Body is medium. Very herbal, not quite they way I prefer my Saison, but this is well-brewed stuff.

Unclear, golden-yellow colored, medium frothy white head, nice lacing. Aroma is of some malt, fruity, herbal, spicy notes, yeasty. Taste is medium sweet malt, bit caramel, some fruits, lemony, medium herbal and spicy notes, straw, rosemary, yeast, medium spicy bitterness, dryish finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation, silky. Clear blond to light orange beer, irregular off-white head, very stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: fruity, bit of melons, banana peel, yeasty, bit sweet. MF: soft carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sweet, pretty bitter, fruity, citrus, bit lemony, very grassy, chemical bitterness, orange peel, yeasty. Aftertaste: more dirty (dead?) yeast, alcohol, unpleasant bitterness.

Spiced (or rather ’herbed’) saison-style ale made in collaboration of three of America’s big and very influential names in the world of craft breweries, bottle at 77ships’s place, cheers. Thick, frothy, egg-white, stable head, hazy peach blonde robe with orangey tinge. Aroma of wet leather, unripe peach, green peppercorns, parsley, damp hay, stale urine but not in a bad way, soap, green tea, camomile, turnip - with thyme, rosemary and sage effectuating a ’dry green’ herbal note but hardly distinguishable from one another. Crisp fruity onset, peachy and pineapple-like sweetish notes, sourish touch as well, softish carbo, supple mouthfeel; bready maltiness sustains an earthy presence of the green herbs as well as something green tea-like in the finish, mildly bittering. Accomplished, no surprise seen its pedigree, and way more pleasant than expected based on the list of herbs - though I think adding four different ones is a bit unnecessary.

12oz brown bottle shared at RBAG ’17. Golden and hazy with barely any head. Nose - biscuit, wood, toasty, spices. Taste - grain, toast, spices. Mild, but interesting saison.
